And he turned me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary which faces east, and it was shut.

And יהוה said to me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall go in by it, because יהוה Elohim of Yisra'el came in by it, and it shall be shut.

As for the prince, the prince he shall sit in it to eat bread before יהוה; from the way of the vestibule of the gate he shall come in, and by its way he shall go out.

And he brought me by the way of the north gate to the front of the house, and I looked, and behold, the glory of יהוה filled the house of יהוה, and I fell on my face.

And יהוה said to me, Son of man, set your heart and see with your eyes, and with your ears hear all that I am speaking to you, concerning all the statutes of the house of יהוה and concerning all its laws; and set your heart for the entrance of the house, for all the exits of the sanctuary.

And you shall say to the rebellious, to the house of Yisra'el, Thus says Adonai יהוה: You have had enough of all your abominations, O house of Yisra'el.

In your bringing in of foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to profane it, My house, when you offer My food, fat and blood, you have broken My covenant by all your abominations.

And you have not kept the charge of My holy things, but you have set them as keepers of My charge in My sanctuary for yourselves.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into My sanctuary, no foreigner who is among the sons of Yisra'el.

But the Levites who have gone far from Me when Yisra'el went astray, who went astray from Me after their idols, they shall bear their iniquity.

And they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, appointed to the gates of the house, and ministers to the house; they shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.

Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Yisra'el, therefore I have lifted My hand against them, declares Adonai יהוה, and they shall bear their iniquity.

And they shall not come near to Me to minister as priests to Me, nor to come near to any of My holy things, to the most holy things; but they shall bear their shame and their abominations which they have committed.

And I will appoint them as keepers of the charge of the house for all its service and for all that is done in it.

But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Tsadoq, who kept the charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Yisra'el went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister to Me, and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood, declares Adonai יהוה.

They shall enter into My sanctuary, and they shall come near to My table to minister to Me, and they shall keep My charge.

And it shall be, when they enter the inner court, they shall wear linen garments, and no wool shall come upon them while they minister in the inner court and inside.

They shall have linen turbans on their heads, and linen breeches on their loins; they shall not gird themselves with sweat.

And when they go out into the outer court, into the outer court, to the people, they shall take off their garments in which they have ministered and lay them in the holy chambers, and put on other garments, so that they do not consecrate the people with their garments.

And they shall not shave their heads, nor let their hair grow long; they shall trim the hair of their heads.

And no priest shall drink wine when he enters the inner court.

And they shall not take for themselves as wives a widow or a divorced woman, but only virgins from the seed of the house of Yisra'el; and a widow who is the widow of a priest, they may take.

And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the common, and make known to them the difference between the unclean and the clean.

And in a dispute, they shall stand for judgment according to My judgments; they shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed feasts, and they shall keep My Sabbaths holy.

And they shall not go near to any dead person to become unclean, except for their father, their mother, their son, their daughter, their brother, or their sister who has not been married to a man; for these they may become unclean.

And after he is cleansed, they shall count seven days for him.

And on the day he enters the holy place, the inner court, to minister in the holy place, he shall offer his sin offering, declares Adonai יהוה.

And it shall be for them as an inheritance; I am their inheritance. And you shall give no possession in Yisra'el; I am their possession.

The grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, they shall eat them; and every devoted thing in Yisra'el shall be theirs.

And the first of all the firstfruits of everything, and every contribution of everything from all your contributions, shall be for the priests; and the first of your dough you shall give to the priest, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

No priest shall eat anything that has died of itself or is torn by an animal, whether it is a bird or a beast.
