And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Yisra'el and say, Mountains of Yisra'el, hear the word of יהוה.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: Because the enemy said against you, 'Aha! And the ancient high places have become ours for possession.'

Therefore, prophesy and say, Thus says Adonai יהוה: Because you were made desolate and swallowed up from all sides, to be a possession for the remnant of the nations, and you were lifted up on the tongue of speech and slander of people.

Therefore, mountains of Yisra'el, hear the word of Adonai יהוה. Thus says Adonai יהוה to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, and to the desolate ruins and to the abandoned cities, which became plunder and mockery to the remnant of the nations all around.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה: Surely not in the fire of My jealousy have I spoken against the remnant of the nations, and against all Edom, who gave My land to themselves for possession with all the joy of heart, with the hatred of soul, for its removal to be plunder.

Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Yisra'el and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, Thus says Adonai יהוה: Behold, I am in My jealousy and in My wrath have I spoken, because you have borne the shame of the nations.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה: I have lifted up My hand, surely the nations that are around you, they will bear their shame.

But you, mountains of Yisra'el, you will give your branches and bear your fruit for My people Yisra'el, for they are about to come.

For behold, I am toward you, and I will turn toward you, and you will be worked and sown.

And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Yisra'el, all of it. And the cities will be inhabited, and the ruins will be built.

And I will multiply men and beasts upon you, and they will multiply and be fruitful. And I will cause you to dwell as in your former times, and I will do better than your beginnings. And you will know that I am יהוה.

And I will cause men, My people Yisra'el, to walk upon you. And they will inherit you, and you will be to them for an inheritance, and you will no longer cause them to be bereaved.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: Because they say to you, 'You are a devourer of men, and you cause your nation to be bereaved.'

Therefore, you will no longer devour men, and you will no longer cause your nation to be bereaved, declares Adonai יהוה.

And I will no longer cause you to hear the shame of the nations, and you will no longer bear the reproach of peoples, and your nation will no longer cause stumbling, declares Adonai יהוה.

And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, the house of Yisra'el was dwelling on their land, and they defiled it by their way and by their deeds. Their way before Me was like the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.

And I poured out My wrath upon them because of the blood they shed on the land, and because they defiled it with their idols.

And I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed in the lands. According to their way and according to their deeds, I judged them.

And they came to the nations where they went, and they profaned My holy name, by saying to them, 'These are the people of יהוה, and they have gone out from His land.'

And I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Yisra'el profaned among the nations where they went.

Therefore, say to the house of Yisra'el, Thus says Adonai יהוה: It is not for your sake that I am doing this, O house of Yisra'el, but for the sake of My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.

And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. And the nations will know that I am יהוה, declares Adonai יהוה, when I am sanctified in you before their eyes.

And I will take you from among the nations, and I will gather you from all the lands, and I will bring you to your land.

And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you will be cleansed from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

And I will put My Spirit within you, and I will cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

And you will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you will be to Me for a people, and I will be to you for Elohim.

And I will save you from all your uncleannesses, and I will call for the grain, and I will multiply it, and I will not bring famine upon you.

And I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you will no longer bear the reproach of famine among the nations.

And you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves because of your iniquities and because of your abominations.

It is not for your sake that I am doing this, declares Adonai יהוה. Be made known to you; be ashamed and be confounded because of your ways, O house of Yisra'el.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the ruins will be built.

And the desolate land will be worked, instead of being a desolation in the sight of all who pass by.

And they will say, 'This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden, and the ruined, desolate, and destroyed cities are inhabited.'

And the nations that remain all around you will know that I, יהוה, have built the ruined places; I have planted the desolate places. I, יהוה, have spoken and have done it.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: Yet this I will seek for the house of Yisra'el, to do this for them: I will multiply them like sheep, men.

Like holy sheep, like sheep of Yerushalayim in its appointed times, so will the ruined cities be full of sheep, men. And they will know that I am יהוה.
