The hand of יהוה was upon me, and יהוה brought me out by spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley, and it was full of bones.

And he caused me to pass over them all around, and behold, they were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry.

And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I said, Adonai יהוה, you know.

And he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of יהוה.

Thus says Adonai יהוה to these bones, Behold, I am bringing breath into you, and you will live.

And I will put sinews on you, and I will bring up flesh on you, and I will cover you with skin, and I will put breath in you, and you will live, and you will know that I am יהוה.

And I prophesied as I was commanded, and there was a sound as I prophesied, and behold, a rattling, and bone came to bone, each to its neighbor.

And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh grew, and skin covered them from above, but there was no breath in them.

And he said to me, Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says Adonai יהוה, Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.

And I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, a very, very great host.

And he said to me, Son of man, these bones are all the house of Yisra'el. Behold, they say, Our bones are dry, and our hope is lost; we are cut off for ourselves.

Therefore, prophesy and say to them, Thus says Adonai יהוה, Behold, I am opening your graves, and I will bring you up from your graves, my people, and I will bring you to the land of Yisra'el.

And you will know that I am יהוה when I open your graves and bring you up from your graves, my people.

And I will put my spirit in you, and you will live, and I will place you on your land, and you will know that I, יהוה, have spoken and have done it, declares יהוה.

And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

And you, son of man, take for yourself one stick and write on it, For Yehudah and for the בני Yisra'el his companions. Then take another stick and write on it, For Yosef, the stick of Efrayim, and all the house of Yisra'el his companions.

And join them one to another for you into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.

And when the בני of your people say to you, Will you not tell us what these mean to you?

Say to them, Thus says Adonai יהוה, Behold, I am taking the stick of Yosef, which is in the hand of Efrayim, and the tribes of Yisra'el his companions, and I will put them on him, on the stick of Yehudah, and I will make them one stick, and they will be one in my hand.

And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.

And say to them, Thus says Adonai יהוה, Behold, I am taking the בני of Yisra'el from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from all around, and I will bring them to their land.

And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yisra'el, and one king will be over them all, and they will no longer be two nations, and they will no longer be divided into two kingdoms.

And they will no longer defile themselves with their idols and with their detestable things and with all their transgressions, and I will save them from all their dwelling places where they sinned, and I will cleanse them, and they will be my people, and I will be their Elohim.

And my servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for them all, and they will walk in my judgments and keep my statutes and do them.

And they will dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Ya'aqov, where your fathers lived, and they will dwell there, they and their בני and their בני' בני forever, and my servant David will be their prince forever.

And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will give them, and I will multiply them, and I will set my sanctuary among them forever.

And my dwelling will be over them, and I will be their Elohim, and they will be my people.

And the nations will know that I am יהוה who sanctifies Yisra'el, when my sanctuary is among them forever.
