And he said to me, Son of Adam, what you find, eat; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Yisra'el.

And I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat this scroll.

And he said to me, Son of Adam, your belly will eat, and your insides will fill this scroll which I am giving to you. And I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey for sweetness.

And he said to me, Son of Adam, go, come to the house of Yisra'el, and speak with my words to them.

For you are not sent to a people of deep speech and heavy tongue, to the house of Yisra'el.

Not to many peoples of deep speech and heavy tongue, whose words you will not hear. If I did not send you to them, they would hear you.

But the house of Yisra'el will not want to hear you, because they do not want to hear me. For all the house of Yisra'el are strong of forehead and hard of heart.

Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads.

Like diamond harder than flint I have made your forehead. You will not fear them, and you will not be terrified before them, for they are a rebellious house.

And he said to me, Son of Adam, all my words which I will speak to you, take into your heart, and hear with your ears.

And go, come to the exiles, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and say to them, Thus says Adonai יהוה, whether they hear or whether they refrain.

And a spirit lifted me, and I heard behind me a great noise, Blessed be the glory of יהוה from his place.

And the sound of the wings of the living creatures touching one to another, and the sound of the wheels beside them, and the sound of a great noise.

And a spirit lifted me and took me, and I went bitter in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of יהוה was strong upon me.

And I came to the exiles, to Tel Aviv, who were dwelling by the river Kebar, and I sat there seven days, stunned among them.

And it was at the end of seven days, and the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of Adam, a watchman I have appointed you for the house of Yisra'el. And you will hear a word from my mouth, and you will warn them from me.

When I say to the wicked, You will surely die, and you do not warn him, and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; he, the wicked, will die in his iniquity, but his blood I will seek from your hand.

But you, when you have warned the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, and from his wicked way; he will die in his iniquity, but you have saved your life.

And when a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I place a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you did not warn him, in his sin he will die, and his righteousness which he did will not be remembered, but his blood I will seek from your hand.

But you, when you have warned the righteous person not to sin, the righteous person, and he does not sin; he will surely live, because he was warned. And you have saved your life.

And the hand of יהוה was upon me there, and he said to me, Arise, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.

And I arose and went out to the plain, and behold, there the glory of יהוה was standing, like the glory which I saw by the river Kebar, and I fell on my face.

And a spirit entered me and made me stand on my feet, and he spoke with me and said to me, Go, shut yourself inside your house.

But you, Son of Adam, behold, they will place ropes on you, and bind you with them, and you will not go out among them.

And I will stick your tongue to your palate, and you will be silenced, and you will not be a reprover to them, for they are a rebellious house.

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you will say to them, Thus says Adonai יהוה, The one who hears, let him hear; and the one who refrains, let him refrain. For they are a rebellious house.
