And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, say to the ruler of Tsor: Thus says Adonai יהוה: Because your heart is lifted up, and you say, 'I am Elohim, I sit in the seat of Elohim, in the heart of the seas,' and you, a man, and not Elohim, have made your heart like the heart of Elohim.

Behold, you are wiser than Dani'el; no secret is hidden from you.

By your wisdom and by your understanding you have made yourself power, and you have made gold and silver in your treasuries.

By your great wisdom, by your trade, you have increased your power, and your heart has been lifted up because of your power.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה: Because you have made your heart like the heart of Elohim.

Therefore, behold, I am bringing against you strangers, the terrible of the nations, and they will draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they will defile your splendor.

They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas.

Will you then say, 'I am Elohim,' before your slayer? But you are a man, and not Elohim, in the hand of your defilers.

You will die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers, for I have spoken, declares Adonai יהוה.

And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tsor, and say to him: Thus says Adonai יהוה: You are the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and complete in beauty.

You were in Eden, the garden of Elohim; every precious stone was your covering, carnelian, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle, and gold; the work of your tabrets and pipes was with you in the day you were created; they were prepared.

You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I have set you so; you were on the holy mountain of Elohim; you walked among the stones of fire.

You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity was found in you.

By the abundance of your trade, your insides were filled with violence, and you sinned; so I cast you out from the mountain of Elohim, and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from among the stones of fire.

Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor; I cast you to the ground; I gave you before kings as a spectacle.

By the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade, you have defiled your sanctuaries; so I brought forth fire from within you; it consumed you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth before the eyes of all who saw you.

All who know you among the peoples are astonished over you; you have become a terror, and you shall be no more forever.

And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, set your face against Tsidon, and prophesy against it.

And say, Thus says Adonai יהוה: Behold, I am against you, Tsidon, and I will be glorified in your midst, and they will know that I am יהוה, when I execute judgments in her and am sanctified in her.

For I will send pestilence and blood into her streets, and the slain will fall in her midst by the sword that is against her on every side, and they will know that I am יהוה.

And there will be no more for the house of Yisra'el a pricking brier or a painful thorn from any of those who surround them, who treat them with contempt, and they will know that I am Adonai יהוה.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: When I gather the house of Yisra'el from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and I am sanctified in them before the eyes of the nations, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Ya'aqov.

And they will dwell securely in it, and they will build houses and plant vineyards, and they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments against all those who treat them with contempt on every side, and they will know that I am יהוה their Elohim.
