And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

And you, son of man, lift up a lament over Tsore, and say to it:

'Thus says Adonai יהוה: To Tsore, you said, 'I am perfection of beauty.'

'Your boundaries are in the heart of the seas; your builders have perfected your beauty.'

'From Senir, they made all your planks; they took a cedar from Lebanon to make your mast.'

'From oaks of Bashan they made your oars; they made your benches of cypress from the isles of Kittiyim.'

'Your sail was fine linen from Mitsrayim, embroidered; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was your covering.'

'The inhabitants of Tzidon and Arvad were your rowers; your wise men, Tsore, were in you, they were your pilots.'

'The elders of Gev'al and its wise men were in you, your caulkers; all the ships of the sea and their sailors were in you to trade your merchandise.'

'Persia, Lud, and Put were in your army, men of your war; they hung shield and helmet in you; they gave your splendor.'

'Sons of Arvad and your army were on your walls all around, and the Gammadim were in your towers; they hung their shields on your walls all around; they perfected your beauty.'

'Tarshish was your merchant because of the abundance of all your wealth; with silver, iron, tin, and lead they traded your wares.'

'Yavan, Tuval, and Meshekh were your traders; with the persons of men and bronze vessels they traded your merchandise.'

'From the house of Togarmah, horses and horsemen and steeds they traded your wares.'

'Sons of Dedan were your traders; many isles were the merchandise of your hand; they brought you horns of ivory and ebony in return.'

'Aram was your merchant because of the abundance of your works; with turquoise, purple, and embroidery, and fine linen, and coral, and carnelian they traded your wares.'

'Yehudah and the land of Yisra'el, they were your traders; with wheat of Minnith and pannag and honey and oil and balm they traded your merchandise.'

'Damascus was your merchant because of the abundance of your works, because of the abundance of all your wealth; with wine of Helbon and white wool they traded.'

'And Dan and Yavan from Uzal traded your wares; wrought iron, cassia, and cane were in your merchandise.'

'Dedan traded with you fine cloths for riding.'

'Arab and all the princes of Qedar, they were the merchants of your hand; with lambs, and rams, and he-goats, they were your merchants.'

'The traders of Sheva and Ra'amah, they were your traders; with the chief of all spices and with every precious stone and gold they traded your wares.'

'Haran and Kenneh and Eden, traders of Sheva, Asshur, and Kilmad traded with you.'

'They traded with you in choice garments, in cloaks of blue and embroidery, and in chests of rich fabrics, bound with cords and cedar, in your market.'

'The ships of Tarshish were your carriers of merchandise; and you were filled and became very heavy in the heart of the seas.'

'Your rowers brought you into great waters; the east wind shattered you in the heart of the seas.'

'Your wealth, your merchandise, your sailors, and your pilots, your caulkers, and the traders of your wares, and all the men of war who are in you, and all your company that is in your midst, will fall into the heart of the seas on the day of your downfall.'

'At the sound of the cry of your pilots, the suburbs will shake.'

'And all who handle oars will come down from their ships; the sailors, all the pilots of the sea, will stand on the land.'

'And they will raise their voice over you, and cry bitterly, and throw dust on their heads; they will wallow in ashes.'

'And they will make themselves bald for you, and gird themselves with sackcloth, and weep for you with bitter soul, a bitter lament.'

'And in their wailing they will take up a lament for you, and lament over you, saying, Who is like Tsore, like the destroyed one in the midst of the sea?'

'When your wares went out from the seas, you satisfied many peoples; with the abundance of your wealth and your merchandise you enriched the kings of the earth.'

'At the time you are broken from the seas, in the depths of the waters, your merchandise and all your company that is in your midst will fall.'

'All the inhabitants of the isles will be astonished at you, and their kings will be horrified; they will tremble with their face.'

'The traders among the peoples will hiss at you; you will be a terror, and you will be no more forever.'
