In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, set your face toward Pharaoh, king of Mitsrayim, and prophesy against him and against all Mitsrayim.

Speak and say, 'Thus says Adonai יהוה: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh, king of Mitsrayim, the great monster lying in the midst of his rivers, who said, 'My river is mine, and I have made it.'

And I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales, and I will bring you up from the midst of your rivers, and all the fish of your rivers will stick to your scales.

And I will cast you into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers; you will fall on the face of the open field; you will not be gathered nor collected for the beasts of the earth and for the birds of the sky I have given you for food.

And all the inhabitants of Mitsrayim will know that I am יהוה, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Yisra'el.

When they took hold of you with the hand, you broke, and when they leaned on you, you gave way in every shoulder, and when they leaned on you, you broke, and you made every hip tremble for them.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה: Behold, I am bringing a sword against you, and I will cut off from you man and beast.

And the land of Mitsrayim will be a desolation and a ruin, and they will know that I am יהוה, because he said, 'The river is mine, and I have made it.'

Therefore, behold, I am against you and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Mitsrayim a ruin of ruins, a desolation from Migdol to Syene and to the border of Kush.

No foot of man and no foot of beast will pass through it, and it will not be inhabited for forty years.

And I will make the land of Mitsrayim a desolation in the midst of desolate lands, and its cities in the midst of ruined cities will be desolate for forty years, and I will scatter Mitsrayim among the nations and disperse them among the countries.

For thus says Adonai יהוה: At the end of forty years, I will gather Mitsrayim from the peoples to whom they were scattered.

And I will bring back the captives of Mitsrayim, and I will return them to the land of Pathros, to the land of their origin, and they will be there a lowly kingdom.

It will be the lowest of the kingdoms, and it will no longer exalt itself above the nations, and I will make them few, so that they will not rule over the nations anymore.

And it will no longer be a confidence for the house of Yisra'el, bringing remembrance of iniquity when they turn after them, and they will know that I am Adonai יהוה.

And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, made his army perform a great service against Tyre; every head was made bare, and every shoulder was stripped, and he had no wages, nor his army, from Tyre for the service which he served against it.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה: Behold, I am giving Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, the land of Mitsrayim, and he will carry off its wealth and plunder its plunder and seize its spoil, and it will be wages for his army.

I have given him the reward for his service, the land of Mitsrayim, which they did for me, declares Adonai יהוה.

On that day, I will cause a horn to sprout for the house of Yisra'el, and I will give you an open mouth among them, and they will know that I am יהוה.
