And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Yisra'el who are prophesying, and say to the prophets from their own heart, 'Hear the word of יהוה.'

Thus says Adonai יהוה, 'Woe to the foolish prophets who are walking after their own spirit and have not seen.'

Your prophets, Yisra'el, have been like foxes in ruins.

You have not gone up into the breaches, nor built a wall for the house of Yisra'el to stand in battle on the day of יהוה.

They see vanity and divine falsehood; they say, 'The oracle of יהוה,' but יהוה did not send them, and they expect to make a word stand.

Have you not seen a vision of vanity and spoken a divination of falsehood, saying, 'The oracle of יהוה,' when I have not spoken?

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה, 'Because you have spoken vanity and seen falsehood, therefore, behold, I am against you,' says Adonai יהוה.

And my hand will be against the prophets who see vanity and who divine falsehood; they will not be in the council of my people, nor will they be written in the writing of the house of Yisra'el, nor will they enter the land of Yisra'el, and you will know that I am Adonai יהוה.

Because, yes, because they have caused my people to err, saying, 'Peace,' when there is no peace, and one builds a wall, and behold, they plaster it with whitewash.

Say to those who plaster, 'It will fall!' There will be a pouring rain, and you, hailstones, will fall, and a stormy wind will break it apart.

And behold, when the wall falls, will it not be said to you, 'Where is the plaster with which you plastered it?'

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה, 'I will break forth a stormy wind in my wrath, and a pouring rain will be in my anger, and hailstones in fury for destruction.'

And I will tear down the wall that you have plastered with whitewash, and I will bring it to the ground, and its foundation will be uncovered; and it will fall, and you will be consumed in its midst, and you will know that I am יהוה.

And I will spend my fury on the wall and on those who plastered it with whitewash, and I will say to you, 'The wall is no more, and those who plastered it are no more.'

The prophets of Yisra'el who prophesy concerning Yerushalayim and who see visions of peace for her, when there is no peace, says Adonai יהוה.

And you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy from their own hearts, and prophesy against them.

And say, 'Thus says Adonai יהוה, 'Woe to the seamstresses of armlets and to those who make veils for the heads of every stature, to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people, and preserve the lives of yourselves?'

And you have profaned me to my people with handfuls of barley and with pieces of bread, to kill souls that should not die, and to keep alive souls that should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה, 'Behold, I am against your armlets, with which you hunt souls like flying things, and I will tear them from your arms, and I will let go the souls, the flying things, which you hunt.'

And I will tear off your veils and deliver my people from your hand, and they will no longer be a prey in your hand, and you will know that I am יהוה.

Because you have grieved the heart of the righteous man with falsehood, when I have not grieved him, and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to be kept alive.

Therefore, you will not see vanity anymore, nor will you divine falsehood anymore, and I will deliver my people from your hand, and you will know that I am יהוה.
