And it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, and I was among the exiles by the river Kebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim.

On the fifth of the month, it is the fifth year of the exile of King Yoyakhin.

The word of יהוה came to Yeḥezqel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of Kasdim, by the river Kebar, and the hand of יהוה was upon him there.

And I looked, and behold, a stormy wind was coming from the north, a great cloud and flashing fire, and brightness around it, and from its midst, like the appearance of glowing metal from within the fire.

And from its midst, the likeness of four living creatures, and this is their appearance: the likeness of a human they have.

And four faces for each one, and four wings for each one they have.

And their feet, straight feet, and the soles of their feet like the soles of a calf's foot, and they gleamed like polished bronze.

And human hands were under their wings on their four sides, and their faces and their wings for the four of them.

Their wings were joined one to another; their wings did not turn when they moved; each went straight forward.

And the likeness of their faces: a human face and a lion's face to the right for the four of them, and an ox's face to the left for the four of them, and an eagle's face for the four of them.

And their faces and their wings were separated from above; for each, two were joined to each other, and two covered their bodies.

And each went straight forward; where the spirit was going to go, they went; they did not turn when they moved.

And the likeness of the living creatures: their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches; it moved among the living creatures, and there was brightness to the fire, and lightning came out from the fire.

And the living creatures ran and returned like the appearance of lightning.

And I looked at the living creatures, and behold, one wheel was on the ground beside the living creatures for their four faces.

The appearance of the wheels and their construction was like the color of beryl, and the likeness of one for the four of them, and their appearance and their construction was as if a wheel was within a wheel.

When they moved, they moved on their four sides; they did not turn when they moved.

And their rims, and their height was fearful, and their rims were full of eyes all around the four of them.

And when the living creatures moved, the wheels moved beside them, and when the living creatures were lifted from the earth, the wheels were lifted.

Where the spirit was going to go, they went there to go, and the wheels were lifted alongside them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

When they moved, they moved, and when they stood, they stood, and when they were lifted from the earth, the wheels were lifted alongside them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

And over the heads of the living creatures was a likeness of a firmament, like the appearance of terrifying crystal, stretched out over their heads from above.

And under the firmament, their wings were straight, one to another; for each, two covered them, and for each, two covered their bodies.

And I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the sound of Shaddai; when they moved, the sound of a multitude, like the sound of an army; when they stood, their wings drooped.

And there was a sound from above the firmament that was over their heads; when they stood, their wings drooped.

And from above the firmament that was over their heads, like the appearance of a sapphire stone, a likeness of a throne, and upon the likeness of the throne, a likeness like the appearance of a human upon it from above.

And I saw like the appearance of glowing metal, like the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of its loins and upward, and from the appearance of its loins and downward, I saw like the appearance of fire, and brightness around it.

Like the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around; it was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of יהוה. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.
