And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'See, I have made you Elohim for Par'oh, and Aharon your brother will be your prophet.'

You will speak all that I command you, and Aharon your brother will speak to Par'oh, and he will send out the sons of Yisra'el from his land.

And I will harden Par'oh's heart, and I will multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.

And Par'oh will not listen to you, and I will put my hand on Mitsrayim, and I will bring out my armies, my people, the sons of Yisra'el, from the land of Mitsrayim with great judgments.

And the Mitsrayim will know that I am יהוה when I stretch out my hand over Mitsrayim, and I will bring out the sons of Yisra'el from among them.

And Mosheh and Aharon did as יהוה commanded them; so they did.

And Mosheh was eighty years old, and Aharon was eighty-three years old when they spoke to Par'oh.

And יהוה said to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying:

'When Par'oh speaks to you, saying, 'Give yourselves a wonder,' then you will say to Aharon, 'Take your staff and throw it down before Par'oh; it will become a serpent.'

And Mosheh and Aharon came to Par'oh, and they did so, just as יהוה commanded. And Aharon threw down his staff before Par'oh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

And Par'oh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and the scribes of Mitsrayim also did so with their enchantments.

And each man threw down his staff, and they became serpents, and Aharon's staff swallowed their staffs.

And Par'oh's heart grew hard, and he did not listen to them, just as יהוה had spoken.

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Par'oh's heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go.'

'Go to Par'oh in the morning; behold, he is going out to the water, and you will stand to meet him on the bank of the river, and the staff that was turned into a serpent you will take in your hand.

'And you will say to him, 'יהוה, the Elohim of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, 'Send out my people, that they may serve me in the wilderness,' and behold, you have not listened until now.'

'Thus says יהוה, 'By this you will know that I am יהוה; behold, I will strike with the staff that is in my hand on the waters that are in the river, and they will be turned into blood.'

'And the fish that are in the river will die, and the river will stink, and the Mitsrayim will be weary of drinking water from the river.'

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Say to Aharon, 'Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Mitsrayim, over their rivers, over their canals, and over their ponds, and over every collection of their waters, and they will become blood, and there will be blood in all the land of Mitsrayim, even in wood and in stone.'

And Mosheh and Aharon did so, just as יהוה commanded. And he lifted up with the staff and struck the waters that were in the river before the eyes of Par'oh and before the eyes of his servants, and all the waters that were in the river were turned into blood.

And the fish that were in the river died, and the river stank, and the Mitsrayim could not drink water from the river, and there was blood in all the land of Mitsrayim.

And the scribes of Mitsrayim did so with their enchantments, and Par'oh's heart grew hard, and he did not listen to them, just as יהוה had spoken.

And Par'oh turned and went into his house, and he did not set his heart even on this.

And all the Mitsrayim dug around the river for water to drink, because they could not drink from the waters of the river.

And seven days passed after יהוה struck the river.

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Go to Par'oh and say to him, 'Thus says יהוה, 'Send out my people, and they will serve me.''

'And if you refuse to send them out, behold, I will strike all your territory with frogs.'

'And the river will swarm with frogs, and they will come up and enter your house, and the room of your sleeping, and on your bed, and in the house of your servants, and on your people, and in your ovens, and in your kneading troughs.'

'And on you, and on your people, and on all your servants, the frogs will come up.'
