And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Ascend to יהוה, you, and Aharon, Nadav, and Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra'el, and you shall bow down from afar.

And Mosheh shall approach alone to יהוה, and they shall not approach, and the people shall not ascend with him.

And Mosheh came and told the people all the words of יהוה and all the ordinances, and all the people answered with one voice and said, 'All the words which יהוה has spoken, we will do.'

And Mosheh wrote all the words of יהוה, and he rose early in the morning and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Yisra'el.

And he sent young men of the sons of Yisra'el, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings to יהוה, bulls.

And Mosheh took half of the blood and put it in basins, and the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

And he took the book of the covenant and read it in the ears of the people, and they said, 'All that יהוה has spoken, we will do and we will obey.'

And Mosheh took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and he said, 'Behold, the blood of the covenant which יהוה has made with you concerning all these words.'

And Mosheh ascended, and Aharon, Nadav, and Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra'el.

And they saw the Elohim of Yisra'el, and under His feet was like the work of a sapphire pavement, and like the very sky for clearness.

And against the nobles of the sons of Yisra'el He did not stretch out His hand, and they saw the Elohim, and they ate and drank.

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Ascend to Me on the mountain, and be there, and I will give you the stone tablets, and the Torah, and the commandment which I have written to teach them.'

And Mosheh arose, and Yehoshua his attendant, and Mosheh ascended the mountain of the Elohim.

And to the elders he said, 'Wait for us here until we return to you, and behold, Aharon and Hur are with you; whoever has a dispute, let him approach them.'

And Mosheh ascended the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

And the glory of יהוה settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days, and He called to Mosheh on the seventh day from within the cloud.

And the appearance of the glory of יהוה was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the sons of Yisra'el.

And Mosheh entered within the cloud and ascended the mountain, and Mosheh was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
