And יהוה spoke all these words, saying:

I am יהוה, your Elohim, who brought you out from the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of slaves.

You shall have no other elohim before me.

You shall not make for yourself a carved image, nor any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth.

You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them, for I, יהוה your Elohim, am an el qanna, visiting the iniquity of fathers upon sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of those who hate me,

and showing loyal love to thousands of generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

You shall not take the name of יהוה your Elohim in vain, for יהוה will not acquit anyone who takes his name in vain.

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

Six days you shall labor and do all your work,

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to יהוה your Elohim. You shall not do any work, you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.

For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.

You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

And all the people saw the thunderings and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the shofar and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance.

Then they said to Mosheh, "You speak with us, and we will listen. But let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die."

And Mosheh said to the people, "Do not fear, for Elohim has come to test you, and that his fear may be before your faces, so that you may not sin."

The people stood at a distance, while Mosheh approached the thick darkness where Elohim was.

Then יהוה said to Mosheh, "Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra'el, 'You have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you.'

You shall not make with me elohim of silver, and you shall not make for yourselves elohim of gold.

An altar of earth you shall make for me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I cause my name to be remembered I will come to you and bless you.

And if you make me an altar of stones, you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you wield your tool upon it, you have profaned it.

And you shall not go up by steps to my altar, so that your nakedness may not be exposed upon it.
