And the king and Haman came to drink with Esther the queen.

And the king said to Esther, also on the second day, at the wine banquet, 'What is your request, Esther the queen, and it will be given to you? And what is your petition, up to half the kingdom, and it will be done?'

Then Esther the queen answered and said, 'If I have found favor in your eyes, O king, and if it is pleasing to the king, let my life be given to me at my request, and my people at my petition.'

For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. And if we had been sold as male slaves and female slaves, I would have remained silent, for the distress is not worthy of the king's damage.'

And King Ahasuerus said, and said to Esther the queen, 'Who is this, and where is he, who has filled his heart to do so?'

And Esther said, 'A man, an adversary and enemy, this wicked Haman!' And Haman was terrified before the king and the queen.

And the king rose from the wine banquet in his anger, to the garden of the courtyard, and Haman stood to beg for his life from Esther the queen, for he saw that the evil was determined against him by the king.

And the king returned from the garden of the courtyard to the house of the wine banquet, and Haman was falling on the couch on which Esther was. And the king said, 'Will he even assault the queen with me in the house?' The word went out from the mouth of the king, and Haman's face was covered.

And Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said before the king, 'Also, behold, the tree which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good concerning the king, is standing in Haman's house, fifty cubits high.' And the king said, 'Hang him on it.'

And they hanged Haman on the tree which he had prepared for Mordecai, and the king's anger subsided.
