Send out your bread upon the face of the waters, for in many days you will find it.

Give a portion to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what disaster will be on the earth.

If the clouds fill with rain upon the earth, they will empty it, and if a tree falls in the south, and if in the north, where the tree falls, there it will be.

He who guards the wind will not sow, and he who looks at the clouds will not reap.

As you do not know the way of the wind, or how bones are in the womb of the pregnant one, so you do not know the works of יהוה who does all.

In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not let your hand rest, for you do not know which will succeed, this or that, or if both are good together.

And light is sweet, and it is good for the eyes to see the sun.

For if a man lives many years, in all of them let him rejoice, and let him remember the days of darkness, for they will be many. All that comes is vanity.

Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart do good in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes, and know that for all these things יהוה will bring you to judgment.

And remove anger from your heart, and cast away evil from your flesh, for youth and prime are vanity.
