Mosheh called to all Yisra'el and said to them, 'Hear, Yisra'el, the statutes and the judgments which I am speaking in your ears today, and you will learn them and you will keep to do them.'

יהוה our Elohim made a covenant with us in Ḥorev.

Not with our fathers did יהוה make this covenant, but with us, we, these ones here today, all of us, are living.

Face to face, יהוה spoke with you on the mountain from the midst of the fire.

I was standing between יהוה and between you at that time to declare to you the word of יהוה, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up on the mountain, saying:

'I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of slaves.'

'You shall not have other elohim before me.'

'You shall not make for yourself an idol, any likeness which is in the heavens above, and which is on the earth below, and which is in the waters below the earth.'

'You shall not bow down to them, nor shall you serve them, for I am יהוה your Elohim, a zealous el, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons and on third-generations and on fourth-generations of those who hate me.'

'And doing kindness to thousands of generations, to those who love me and to those who keep my commandments.'

'You shall not take up the name of יהוה your Elohim in vain, for יהוה will not acquit the one who takes up his name in vain.'

'Observe the Sabbath day to keep it holy, as יהוה your Elohim commanded you.'

'Six days you shall labor and do all your work.'

'But the seventh day is a Sabbath to יהוה your Elohim; you shall not do any work, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and your ox, and your donkey, and all your livestock, and your sojourner who is within your gates, so that your male servant and your female servant may rest like you.'

'And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and יהוה your Elohim brought you out from there with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm; therefore יהוה your Elohim commanded you to do the Sabbath day.'

'Honor your father and your mother, as יהוה your Elohim commanded you, so that your days may be prolonged and so that it may go well for you on the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.'

'You shall not murder, and you shall not commit adultery, and you shall not steal, and you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

'And you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, and you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, and his male servant, and his female servant, his ox, and his donkey, and anything that is your neighbor's.'

'These words יהוה spoke to all your assembly on the mountain from the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice, and he added no more. And he wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me.'

'And it happened when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, and the mountain burning with fire, that all the heads of your tribes and your elders came near to me.'

'And you said, 'Look, יהוה our Elohim has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice from the midst of the fire; today we have seen that Elohim speaks with man and he lives.'

'And now, why should we die, for this great fire will consume us? If we continue to hear the voice of יהוה our Elohim anymore, we will die.'

'For who among all flesh has heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking from the midst of the fire, like us, and lived?'

'You go near and hear all that יהוה our Elohim says, and you will speak to us all that יהוה our Elohim speaks to you, and we will hear and we will do.'

'And יהוה heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and יהוה said to me, 'I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you; they have done well in all that they have spoken.'

'Who would give that their heart would be this, to fear me and to keep all my commandments all the days, so that it may go well for them and for their children forever.'

'Go, say to them, 'Return to your tents.''

'But you, stand here with me, and I will speak to you all the commandment, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you will teach them, and they will do in the land which I am giving them to inherit.'

'And you shall be careful to do as יהוה your Elohim has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right or to the left.'

'In all the way which יהוה your Elohim has commanded you, you shall walk, so that you may live, and it may go well for you, and you may prolong your days in the land which you will inherit.'
