Mosheh called to all Yisra'el and said to them, 'You have seen all that יהוה did before your eyes in the land of Mitsrayim, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land.'

The great trials which your eyes saw, those great signs and wonders.

And יהוה did not give you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, until this day.

And I led you forty years in the wilderness; your clothes did not wear out from upon you, and your sandals did not wear out from upon your feet.

You did not eat bread, and you did not drink wine and strong drink, so that you might know that I am יהוה your Elohim.

And you came to this place, and Siḥon king of Ḥeshbon and 'Og king of Bashan came out to meet us for war, and we struck them.

And we took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Re'uveni, and to the Gadi, and to half the tribe of Manashe.

And you shall keep the words of this covenant and do them, so that you may prosper in all that you do.

You stand today, all of you, before יהוה your Elohim: your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, every man of Yisra'el.

Your little ones, your wives, and your sojourner who is in the midst of your camps, from your woodcutter to your water drawer.

To pass over in the covenant of יהוה your Elohim, and in His oath which יהוה your Elohim makes with you today.

So that He may establish you today as a people to Him, and He will be to you as Elohim, as He spoke to you, and as He swore to your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Ya'aqov.

And it is not with you alone that I am making this covenant and this oath.

For it is with him who is standing here with us today before יהוה our Elohim, and also with him who is not here with us today.

For you know how we lived in the land of Mitsrayim, and how we passed through the midst of the nations which you passed through.

And you saw their detestable things and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were with them.

Lest there be among you a man or a woman or a family or a tribe whose heart turns away today from יהוה our Elohim, to go to serve the elohim of those nations; lest there be among you a root that bears poisonous fruit and wormwood.

And it will be, when he hears the words of this oath, that he will bless himself in his heart, saying, 'Peace will be to me, for I will walk in the stubbornness of my heart,' so as to add drunkenness to thirst.

יהוה will not be willing to forgive him, but then the anger of יהוה and His jealousy will burn against that man, and every curse written in this book will lie upon him, and יהוה will blot out his name from under the heavens.

And יהוה will separate him for disaster from all the tribes of Yisra'el, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the Torah.

And the latter generation, your children who will rise up after you, and the foreigner who will come from a distant land, will see the plagues of that land and its sicknesses with which יהוה has afflicted it.

Sulfur and salt, a burnt-out land; it shall not be sown, nor shall it sprout, nor shall any plant grow in it, like the overthrow of Sedom and 'Amorah, Admah, and Tsivim, which יהוה overthrew in His anger and in His wrath.

And all the nations will say, 'Why has יהוה done this to the land? What is the meaning of this great anger?'

And they will say, 'Because they abandoned the covenant of יהוה, the Elohim of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim.'

And they went and served other elohim and bowed down to them, elohim whom they did not know and whom He had not allotted to them.

And the anger of יהוה burned against that land, to bring upon it all the curses written in this book.

And יהוה uprooted them from their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as is this day.

The hidden things belong to יהוה our Elohim, but the revealed things belong to us and to our children forever, to do all the words of this Torah.
