When a man takes a wife and marries her, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he finds some indecency in her, then he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house.

She leaves his house and goes and becomes another man's wife.

If the later man hates her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the later man who took her as his wife dies.

Her first husband who sent her away may not take her again to be his wife after she has been defiled, since that is an abomination before יהוה, and you shall not bring sin on the land that יהוה your Elohim is giving you as an inheritance.

When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army, nor shall any duty be imposed on him. He shall be exempt at home for one year and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.

No one shall take a handmill or an upper millstone in pledge, for that would be taking a life in pledge.

If a man is found kidnapping someone from his fellow Yisra'elites and enslaving him or selling him, then that thief shall die, and you shall purge the evil from your midst.

Take care in a case of tsara'at to keep very carefully and to do everything the priests, the Levites, instruct you, just as I have commanded them you shall keep and do.

Remember what יהוה your Elohim did to Miryam on the way when you came out of Mitsrayim.

When you make your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.

You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you are lending shall bring the pledge out to you.

If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep in his pledge.

You shall return his pledge to him at sunset, so he may sleep in his cloak and bless you, and it will be righteousness for you before יהוה your Elohim.

You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether from your brothers or from your sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and lifts up his soul to it, so that he does not cry to יהוה against you and it become sin in you.

Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor children put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.

You shall not pervert the justice due a sojourner or fatherless, and you shall not take a widow's garment in pledge.

Remember that you were a slave in Mitsrayim and יהוה your Elohim redeemed you from there. Therefore I command you to do this.

When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, so that יהוה your Elohim may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the branches again. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.

When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean after yourself. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim. Therefore I command you to do this.
