For יהוה your Elohim will cut off the nations which יהוה your Elohim is giving you their land, and you will inherit them, and you will dwell in their cities and in their houses.

Three cities you shall separate for yourself in the midst of your land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to inherit.

You shall prepare the way for yourself, and you shall divide the boundary of your land which יהוה your Elohim will cause you to inherit, and it shall be for a fugitive there, every manslayer.

And this is the word of the manslayer who will flee there and live: whoever strikes his neighbor unintentionally, and he did not hate him from yesterday or the day before.

And whoever goes with his neighbor into the forest to cut wood, and his hand is thrown with the axe to cut the tree, and the iron falls from the tree, and he finds his neighbor, and he dies; he shall flee to one of these cities and live.

Lest the avenger of blood pursue the manslayer, because his heart is hot, and he overtakes him, because the way is long, and he strikes him, his life, and he is not deserving of death, because he did not hate him from yesterday or the day before.

Therefore, I am commanding you, saying: Three cities you shall separate for yourself.

And if יהוה your Elohim enlarges your border, as he swore to your fathers, and gives you all the land which he spoke to give to your fathers.

Because you will keep all this commandment to do it, which I am commanding you today, to love יהוה your Elohim, and to walk in his ways all the days, then you shall add for yourself three more cities to these three.

And innocent blood shall not be shed in the midst of your land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you as an inheritance, and bloodguilt shall be upon you.

And if a man hates his neighbor, and lies in wait for him, and rises up against him, and strikes him, his life, and he dies, and he flees to one of these cities.

And the elders of his city shall send and take him from there, and give him into the hand of the avenger of blood, and he dies.

Your eye shall not pity him, and you shall purge innocent blood from Yisra'el, and it shall be good for you.

You shall not move your neighbor's boundary, which the former ones established in your inheritance, which you will inherit in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to inherit.

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, and for any sin, for any sin that he sins; by the mouth of two witnesses, or by the mouth of three witnesses, a matter shall stand.

If a witness of violence rises up against a man to testify against him falsely.

And the two men in whom the dispute is shall stand before יהוה, before the priests and the judges who will be in those days.

And the judges shall investigate thoroughly, and behold, if the witness is a false witness, a false witness testified against his brother.

And you shall do to him as he intended to do to his brother, and you shall purge the evil from your midst.

And the rest shall hear and fear, and shall not again do such a bad thing as this in your midst.

And your eye shall not pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
