The Kohanim, the Levites, the whole tribe of Levi, shall not have a portion and inheritance with Yisra'el; the ash of יהוה and his inheritance they shall eat.

And he shall have no inheritance in the midst of his brothers; יהוה is his inheritance, as he spoke to him.

And this shall be the due of the Kohanim from the people, from those who offer the sacrifice, whether ox or sheep; and he shall give to the Kohen the shoulder, and the cheeks, and the maw.

The first of your grain, your new wine, and your oil, and the first of the shearing of your sheep, you shall give to him.

For יהוה your Elohim has chosen him from all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of יהוה, him and his sons all the days.

And if a Levite comes from one of your gates from all Yisra'el where he lives, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which יהוה chooses,

And he ministers in the name of יהוה his Elohim, like all his brothers the Levites who stand there before יהוה,

Portions, they shall eat, besides his sales on account of the fathers.

When you come into the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son and his daughter pass through fire, a diviner, a sorcerer, an enchanter, and a sorcerer.

And a charmer, and a medium, and a necromancer, and one who consults the dead.

For everyone who does these things is an abomination to יהוה, and because of these abominations, יהוה your Elohim is dispossessing them from before you.

You shall be whole with יהוה your Elohim.

For these nations, which you are inheriting, listen to enchanters and to diviners, but you, not so, יהוה your Elohim has given to you.

A prophet from among you, from your brothers, like me, יהוה your Elohim will raise up for you; to him you shall listen.

According to all that you asked of יהוה your Elohim in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, 'I will not hear the voice of יהוה my Elohim anymore, and this great fire I will not see anymore, and I will not die.'

And יהוה said to me, 'They have done well in what they spoke.'

A prophet I will raise up for them from among their brothers, like you, and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.

And it shall be, the man who does not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will demand it from him.

However, the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other elohim, that prophet shall die.

And if you say in your heart, 'How shall we know the word which יהוה has not spoken?'

When the prophet speaks in the name of יהוה, and the word does not happen and does not come, that is the word which יהוה has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not fear him.
