You shall not sacrifice to יהוה your Elohim an ox or a sheep in which there is a blemish, any bad thing, for it is an abomination to יהוה your Elohim.

If there is found among you, in one of your gates which יהוה your Elohim is giving you, a man or a woman who does that which is evil in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim, to transgress His covenant,

And he goes and serves other elohim and bows down to them, or to the sun, or to the moon, or to all the host of the heavens, which I have not commanded,

And it is told to you, and you hear, and you inquire well, and behold, it is true, the thing is established, this abomination has been done in Yisra'el,

And you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil thing to your gates, the man or the woman, and you shall stone them with stones, and they shall die.

By the mouth of two witnesses or three witnesses the one who is to die shall be put to death; by the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

The hand of the witnesses shall be upon him first to put him to death, and the hand of all the people afterward, and you shall purge the evil from among you.

If a matter is too difficult for you for judgment, between blood and blood, between claim and claim, and between stroke and stroke, matters of dispute in your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses,

And you shall come to the kohanim, the Levi'im, and to the judge who shall be in those days, and you shall inquire, and they shall tell you the matter of judgment.

And you shall do according to the word which they declare to you from that place which יהוה chooses, and you shall be careful to do according to all which they instruct you.

According to the instruction which they instruct you, and according to the judgment which they say to you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, to the right or to the left.

And the man who acts defiantly, not listening to the kohen who stands to serve there יהוה your Elohim, or to the judge, that man shall die, and you shall purge the evil from Yisra'el.

And all the people shall hear and fear, and they shall not act defiantly anymore.

When you come to the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you, and you possess it and dwell in it, and you say, 'I will set a king over me like all the nations which are around me',

You shall surely set over yourself a king whom יהוה your Elohim chooses; from among your brothers you shall set a king over yourself; you may not set over yourself a foreign man who is not your brother.

Only he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor shall he cause the people to return to Mitsrayim for the sake of multiplying horses, for יהוה has said to you, 'You shall not return on this way again'.

And he shall not multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself.

And it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this instruction on a scroll from before the kohanim, the Levi'im.

And it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear יהוה his Elohim, to keep all the words of this instruction and these statutes, to do them.

So that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and so that he may not turn aside from the commandment, to the right or to the left, so that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his sons, in the midst of Yisra'el.
