All the word which I command you, that you shall keep to do; you shall not add to it, and you shall not take away from it.

If there arises in your midst a prophet or a dreamer of a dream, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,

And the sign and the wonder comes, which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other elohim which you have not known, and let us serve them.'

You shall not listen to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of a dream, for יהוה your Elohim tests you, to know if you love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.

After יהוה your Elohim you shall walk, and Him you shall fear, and His commandments you shall keep, and to His voice you shall listen, and Him you shall serve, and to Him you shall cling.

And that prophet or that dreamer of a dream shall be put to death, because he spoke rebellion against יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim and redeemed you from the house of slaves, to turn you away from the way which יהוה your Elohim commanded you to walk in. And you shall purge the evil from your midst.

If your brother, son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your embrace, or your friend who is like your soul, entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and let us serve other elohim which you and your fathers have not known.'

From the elohim of the peoples who are around you, who are near to you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth.

You shall not desire him, and you shall not listen to him, and your eye shall not pity him, and you shall not spare, and you shall not conceal him.

For you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be upon him first to kill him, and the hand of all the people afterward.

And you shall stone him with stones, and he shall die, because he sought to turn you away from יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of slaves.

And all Yisra'el shall hear and shall fear, and they shall not again do this evil thing in your midst.

If you hear in one of your cities, which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to dwell there, saying:

'Wicked men have gone out from your midst and have enticed the inhabitants of their city, saying, 'Let us go and let us serve other elohim which you have not known.''

And you shall inquire, and you shall search, and you shall ask thoroughly, and behold, it is true, the matter is established, this abomination has been done in your midst.

You shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword; you shall utterly destroy it and all that is in it, and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.

And all its spoil you shall gather into its public square, and you shall burn with fire the city and all its spoil, a whole burnt offering to יהוה your Elohim, and it shall be a mound forever; it shall not be rebuilt again.

And nothing of the devoted thing shall cling to your hand, so that יהוה may turn from His fierce anger and give you compassion, and have compassion on you, and multiply you, as He swore to your fathers.

Because you shall listen to the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do what is right in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim.
