Ask יהוה for rain in the time of the latter rain; יהוה makes flashing lights, and gives them rain, grass in the field for each person.

For the teraphim spoke falsehood, and the diviners saw lies, and the dreams of vanity spoke emptiness; they comforted in vain. Therefore they wandered like sheep; they were afflicted because there was no shepherd.

Against the shepherds, my anger burned, and against the he-goats I will punish; for יהוה of hosts visited his flock, the house of Yehudah, and made them like his horse of glory in the battle.

From him is the corner stone, from him the tent peg, from him the bow of battle, from him goes forth every oppressor together.

And they will be like mighty men treading down mud in the streets in the battle, and they will fight, for יהוה is with them, and they will shame the riders of horses.

And I will strengthen the house of Yehudah, and the house of Yosef I will save, and I will cause them to dwell, for I have compassion on them, and they will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am יהוה their Elohim, and I will answer them.

And Efrayim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice like wine, and their sons will see and rejoice; their heart will be glad in יהוה.

I will whistle for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them, and they will multiply as they multiplied.

And I will sow them among the peoples, and in the distant places they will remember me, and they will live with their children and return.

And I will bring them back from the land of Mitsrayim, and from Asshur I will gather them, and to the land of Gil'ad and Lebanon I will bring them, and no place will be found for them.

And he will pass through the sea of distress, and he will strike the sea with waves, and the depths of the river will be dried up, and the pride of Asshur will be brought down, and the scepter of Mitsrayim will be removed.

And I will strengthen them in יהוה, and in his name they will walk, says יהוה.
