As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O Elohim.

My soul thirsts for Elohim, for the living El. When will I come and appear before the face of Elohim?

My tears were my bread day and night, while they said to me all day long, 'Where is your Elohim?'

These things I remember, and I pour out my soul within me, because I would pass over to the tent, I would go to the house of Elohim, with a voice of shouting and thanksgiving, a celebrating multitude.

Why are you cast down, my soul, and why do you groan within me? Hope in Elohim, for I will yet praise Him, the salvations of His face.

My Elohim, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I remember You from the land of Yardeyn, and the Ḥermonim, from Mount Mitsar.

Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; all Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me.

By day יהוה commands His steadfast love, and by night His song is with me, a prayer to the El of my life.

I say to the El of my rock, 'Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?'

My bones are crushed by the taunts of my enemies, while they say to me all day long, 'Where is your Elohim?'
