Do not be envious of people of evil, and do not desire to be with them.

For their heart plots destruction, and their lips speak trouble.

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.

And by knowledge rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant wealth.

A wise man is strong, and a knowledgeable man strengthens power.

For by strategies you wage war, and deliverance is in much counsel.

Wisdom is too high for a fool; he does not open his mouth in the gate.

He who plots to do harm is called a master of schemes.

The scheme of foolishness is sin, and a scoffer is an abomination to man.

If you are slack in the day of trouble, your strength is diminished.

Rescue those taken away to death, and those stumbling toward slaughter, if you hold back.

For if you say, 'We did not know,' does not the one who weighs hearts understand? And the one who guards your soul, He knows, and He will repay man according to his deeds.

Eat, my son, honey, for it is good, and honeycomb is sweet to your taste.

So know wisdom for your soul; if you have found it, there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

Do not lie in wait, wicked one, against the dwelling of the righteous; do not destroy his resting place.

For a righteous person falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in evil.

When your enemy falls, do not rejoice, and when he stumbles, do not let your heart be glad.

Lest יהוה sees it and it is evil in His eyes, and He turns His anger away from him.

Do not be enraged against evildoers; do not be envious of the wicked.

For there will be no future for the evil; the lamp of the wicked will be extinguished.

Fear יהוה, my son, and the king; do not associate with those who are changeable.

For their disaster will arise suddenly, and who knows the ruin of both?

These also are sayings of the wise: showing partiality in judgment is not good.

He who says to the wicked, 'You are righteous,' peoples will curse him, nations will detest him.

But those who rebuke will be pleased, and a good blessing will come upon them.

He who gives honest answers kisses lips.

Prepare your work outside, and make it ready for yourself in the field; afterward, build your house.

Do not be a false witness against your neighbor, and do not deceive with your lips.

Do not say, 'As he did to me, so I will do to him; I will repay the man according to his deeds.'

I passed by the field of a lazy man, and by the vineyard of a man lacking sense.

And behold, it was all overgrown with thorns; nettles had covered its face, and its stone wall was broken down.

Then I looked, and I laid it to heart; I saw, and received instruction.

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down.

And poverty will come like a traveler, and your need like an armed man.
