And Qoraḥ, son of Yitsḥar, son of Qehat, son of Levi, took, and Datan and Aviram, sons of Eliab, and On, son of Pelet, sons of Re'uven.

And they rose up before Mosheh, and men from Bnei-Yisra'el, two hundred and fifty, chiefs of the assembly, called ones of the appointed time, men of renown.

And they gathered against Mosheh and against Aharon, and they said to them, 'Enough for you! For all the assembly, all of them are holy, and in their midst is יהוה. And why do you lift yourselves up over the assembly of יהוה?'

And Mosheh heard, and he fell on his face.

And he spoke to Qoraḥ and to all his assembly, saying, 'In the morning, and יהוה will make known who is His, and who is holy, and He will draw near to Him, and whom He will choose, Him He will draw near to.'

Do this: Take for yourselves fire pans, Qoraḥ and all his assembly.

And put fire in them, and place incense on them before יהוה tomorrow, and it will be that the man whom יהוה chooses, he is holy. Enough for you, sons of Levi!'

And Mosheh said to Qoraḥ, 'Hear now, sons of Levi.'

Is it too little for you that the Elohim of Yisra'el has separated you from the assembly of Yisra'el to draw you near to Him, to do the service of the dwelling place of יהוה, and to stand before the assembly to minister to them?

And He drew you near, and all your brothers, sons of Levi, with you, and you seek the priesthood also?

Therefore, you and all your assembly who are gathered against יהוה, and Aharon, what is he that you grumble against him?'

And Mosheh sent to call Datan and Aviram, sons of Eliab, and they said, 'We will not come up.'

Is it too little that you have brought us up from a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness, that you also Adonai it over us?

Indeed, you have not brought us to a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of field and vineyard. Do you intend to blind these men? We will not come up.'

And Mosheh was very angry, and he said to יהוה, 'Do not turn to their offering. Not one donkey from them have I taken, nor have I harmed one of them.'

And Mosheh said to Qoraḥ, 'You and all your assembly, be before יהוה, you and they, and Aharon, tomorrow.'

And each man take his fire pan, and you shall place incense on them, and bring near before יהוה, each man his fire pan, two hundred and fifty fire pans, and you and Aharon, each man his fire pan.'

And each man took his fire pan, and they put fire in them, and placed incense on them, and they stood at the entrance of the tent of meeting, Mosheh and Aharon.

And Qoraḥ gathered against them all the assembly at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and the glory of יהוה appeared to all the assembly.

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying:

'Separate yourselves from the midst of this assembly, and I will consume them in an instant.'

And they fell on their faces and said, 'O Elohim, Elohim of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and against all the assembly will You be angry?'

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying:

'Speak to the assembly, saying, 'Move away from around the dwelling of these men, Qoraḥ, Datan, and Aviram.'

And Mosheh rose up and went to Datan and Aviram, and the elders of Yisra'el went after him.

And he spoke to the assembly, saying, 'Move away, please, from the tents of these wicked men, and do not touch anything that is theirs, lest you be destroyed in all their sins.'

And they moved away from around the dwelling of Qoraḥ, Datan, and Aviram, from all sides. And Datan and Aviram came out, standing at the entrance of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little ones.

And Mosheh said, 'By this you shall know that יהוה has sent me to do all these deeds, for they are not from my heart.'

'If like the death of all men these men die, and the visitation of all men is visited upon them, יהוה has not sent me.'

'But if יהוה creates a creation, and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them and all that belongs to them, and they go down alive to Sheol, then you shall know that these men have provoked יהוה.'

And it happened, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split open beneath them.

And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their houses, and all the people who belonged to Qoraḥ, and all their possessions.

And they went down, they and all that belonged to them, alive to Sheol, and the earth covered them, and they were lost from the midst of the assembly.

And all Yisra'el who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, 'Lest the earth swallow us.'

And fire came out from יהוה and consumed the two hundred and fifty men offering the incense.
