Woe to me, for I have become like the summer fruit gatherers, like the gleanings of the grape harvest; there is no cluster to eat, my soul desires the first ripe fruit.

The devoted one perishes from the earth, and the upright among men is not found; they all lie in wait for blood, each hunts his brother with a net.

Their hands are skilled at doing evil; the ruler demands, and the judge accepts bribes, and the great one speaks the desire of his soul, and they corrupt it.

The best of them is like a thorn bush, the most upright like a thorny hedge; the day of your watchmen, your punishment has come; now will be their confusion.

Do not believe in a friend, do not trust in a companion; guard the openings of your mouth from her who lies in your embrace.

For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his household.

But I will look to יהוה; I will wait for the Elohim of my salvation; my Elohim will hear me.

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; though I have fallen, I will rise; though I sit in darkness, יהוה is a light to me.

I will bear the indignation of יהוה because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my cause and executes my judgment; He will bring me out to the light; I will see His righteousness.

Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, 'Where is יהוה your Elohim?' My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled like the dirt of the streets.

A day for rebuilding your walls! On that day, the boundary will be far removed.

On that day, they will come to you from Assyria and the fortified cities, from the fortress to the river, from sea to sea, and mountain to mountain.

But the land will be a desolation because of its inhabitants, for the fruit of their deeds.

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance, who dwell alone in the forest, in the midst of Carmel; let them graze in Bashan and Gil'ad as in the days of old.

As in the days of your coming out from the land of Mitsrayim, I will show them wonders.

The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might; they will put their hand over their mouth; their ears will be deaf.

They will lick dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth, they will tremble from their enclosures; they will fear יהוה our Elohim and be in dread of You.

Who is an Elohim like You, forgiving iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love.

He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

You will give truth to Ya'aqov and steadfast love to Avraham, as You swore to our fathers from days of old.
