And the children of Yisra'el again did the bad thing in the eyes of יהוה, and 'Ehud died.

And יהוה sold them into the hand of Yavin, king of Kena'an, who ruled in Ḥatsor, and Sisra, the commander of his army, and he lived in Ḥarosh'et of the nations.

And the children of Yisra'el cried out to יהוה, because he had nine hundred chariots of iron, and he oppressed the children of Yisra'el with strength for twenty years.

And Devorah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Yisra'el at that time.

And she lived under the palm tree of Devorah between Ramah and between Beit-El in the mountain of Efrayim, and the children of Yisra'el went up to her for judgment.

And she sent and called for Barak, son of Avino'am, from Qedesh of Naftali, and she said to him, 'Hasn't יהוה, Elohim of Yisra'el, commanded, 'Go and draw yourself to Mount Tavor, and take with you ten thousand men from the children of Naftali and from the children of Zevulun?'

'And I will draw Sisra, the commander of Yavin's army, and his chariots and his multitude to you at the river Qishon, and I will give him into your hand.'

And Barak said to her, 'If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, then I will not go.'

And she said, 'I will certainly go with you; however, the glory will not be yours on the way you are going, because יהוה will sell Sisra into the hand of a woman.' And Devorah got up and went with Barak to Qedesh.

And Barak summoned Zevulun and Naftali to Qedesh, and ten thousand men went up at his feet, and Devorah went up with him.

And Hever the Qenite had separated himself from Qayin, from the children of Ḥovav, the father-in-law of Mosheh, and he pitched his tent as far as the terebinth tree in Tsa'ananayim, which is near Qedesh.

And they told Sisra that Barak, son of Avino'am, had gone up to Mount Tavor.

And Sisra summoned all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him from Ḥarosh'et of the nations to the river Qishon.

And Devorah said to Barak, 'Get up, for this is the day that יהוה has given Sisra into your hand. Hasn't יהוה gone out before you?' And Barak came down from Mount Tavor, and ten thousand men after him.

And יהוה confused Sisra and all his chariots and all the army by the edge of the sword before Barak, and Sisra got down from his chariot and fled on his feet.

And Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Ḥarosh'et of the nations, and all the army of Sisra fell by the edge of the sword; not one remained.

And Sisra fled on his feet to the tent of Ya'el, the wife of Hever the Qenite, for there was peace between Yavin king of Ḥatsor and between the house of Hever the Qenite.

And Ya'el went out to meet Sisra and said to him, 'Turn aside, my Adonai, turn aside to me; do not fear.' And he turned aside to her in the tent, and she covered him with a blanket.

And he said to her, 'Please give me a little water to drink, for I am thirsty.' And she opened the skin of milk and gave him to drink, and she covered him.

And he said to her, 'Stand at the entrance of the tent, and if a man comes and asks you and says, 'Is there a man here?' and you say, 'No.''

And Ya'el, the wife of Hever, took the tent peg and took the mallet in her hand, and she came to him stealthily and drove the peg into his temple, and it sank into the ground, and he was fast asleep and exhausted, and he died.

And behold, Barak was pursuing Sisra, and Ya'el went out to meet him and said to him, 'Come, and I will show you the man whom you are seeking.' And he came to her, and behold, Sisra was lying dead, and the peg was in his temple.

And Elohim humbled Yavin, king of Kena'an, on that day before the children of Yisra'el.

And the hand of the children of Yisra'el went on, becoming stronger and stronger against Yavin, king of Kena'an, until they cut off Yavin, king of Kena'an.
