Iyov continued to lift up his discourse and said:

As Elohim lives, who has removed my justice, and Shaddai, who has embittered my soul.

For as long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of Elohim in my nostrils.

Surely my lips will not speak injustice, and my tongue will not utter deceit.

Far be it from me! If I justify you, until I die, I will not remove my integrity from me.

In my righteousness I have held fast, and I will not let go; my heart does not reproach me for all my days.

May my enemy be like the wicked, and my adversary like the unjust.

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he gains, though Elohim takes his soul?

Will Elohim hear his cry when distress comes upon him?

Will he delight himself in Shaddai? Will he call on Elohim at all times?

I will teach you about the hand of Elohim; what is with Shaddai, I will not hide.

Behold, you have all seen it; why then do you speak such emptiness?

This is the portion of the wicked man with Elohim, and the inheritance of the violent, which they receive from Shaddai.

If his children multiply, it is for the sword; and his offspring will not eat bread.

Those who remain of him will be buried by death, and his widows will not weep.

If he heaps up silver like dust, and prepares garments like clay.

He prepares it, but the righteous will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver.

He builds his house like a moth, and like a booth that a keeper makes.

The rich man lies down, but is not gathered; he opens his eyes, and he is gone.

Terrors overtake him like waters; a night thief steals him away.

The east wind carries him away, and he goes; it sweeps him from his place.

Elohim will cast at him and not spare; he flees from his hand.

He will clap his hands at him and will whistle him from his place.
