Then Iyov answered and said:

How have you helped the powerless? Have you saved the arm that has no strength?

How have you advised the one without wisdom? And how have you revealed great understanding?

Whom have you instructed with words? And whose spirit came from you?

The departed spirits tremble from beneath the waters and their inhabitants.

Sheol is naked before it, and destruction has no covering.

It stretches the north over emptiness, it hangs the earth on nothing.

It binds the waters in its clouds, and the clouds do not burst under it.

It grips the face of its throne, it spreads its cloud over it.

It has set a boundary on the face of the waters, to the limit of light with darkness.

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at its rebuke.

By its power, it calmed the sea; and by its understanding, it crushed Rahab.

By its breath, the heavens became beautiful; its hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

Indeed, these are the fringes of its ways, and what a whisper of a word is heard of it! But the thunder of its might, who can understand?
