And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

How long will you put words like traps? Understand, and afterward we will speak.

Why are we counted as beasts? We are made unclean in your eyes.

Is your soul being torn in your anger? For your sake will the earth be abandoned, and the rock be moved from its place?

Indeed, the light of the wicked will be extinguished, and the spark of his fire will not shine.

Light will become dark in his tent, and his lamp will be extinguished over him.

The steps of his strength will be shortened, and his own counsel will cast him down.

For he is sent into a net by his feet, and he walks on a snare.

A trap seizes his heel; a snare holds onto him.

His cord is hidden in the ground, and his trap is on the path.

Terrors will surround him, and they will scatter him at his feet.

Let his strength be hunger, and let ruin be ready for his side.

The skin of his body will be eaten; the skin of his limbs will be eaten; the firstborn of death.

He will be torn from his tent, his confidence; and terror, the king of terrors, will lead him.

What is left of his tent will dwell in it; brimstone will be scattered on his dwelling.

His roots will dry up from below, and his harvest will be cut off from above.

His memory will perish from the earth, and he will have no name on the outside.

He will be driven from light into darkness, and he will be banished from the world.

He will have no son nor grandson among his people, and no survivor in his dwelling places.

Those who come after will be astonished at his day, and those who came before will be seized with horror.

Surely, these are the dwellings of the unrighteous, and this is the place of him who does not know יהוה.
