The righteous one perishes, and no one takes it to heart. And faithful people are gathered up, with no one understanding. For the righteous one is gathered up from the face of evil.

He enters into peace; they rest in their resting places, each one who walks straight.

But you, draw near here, sons of the sorceress, offspring of the adulterer and the prostitute.

On whom do you practice amusement? On whom do you open wide your mouth, lengthen your tongue? Are you not children of rebellion, offspring of falsehood?

You who inflame yourselves among the terebinths, under every green tree. You who slaughter children in the ravines, under the clefts of the rocks.

In the smooth places of the wadi is your portion; they, indeed, are your lot. Even to them you poured out a drink offering; you brought up a grain offering. Should I be comforted by these?

On a high and lofty mountain you set your bed; even there you went up to offer sacrifice.

And behind the door and the doorpost you set your memorial. For you have uncovered yourself from me, and have gone up. You have enlarged your bed, and have made a covenant for yourself from them. You have loved their bed; you have seen their hand.

And you went to the king with oil, and you multiplied your perfumes. And you sent your messengers far away, and you humbled yourself even to Sheol.

In the abundance of your way you grew weary; you did not say, 'It is hopeless.' You found the strength of your hand; therefore, you did not become weak.

And whom did you dread and fear, so that you lied, and did not remember me, and did not take me to heart? Is it not I who conceal, and have done so from of old? And you do not fear me.

I will declare your righteousness, and your deeds, and they will not benefit you.

When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you! But the wind will carry them all away; a breath will take them. But the one who takes refuge in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.

And he will say, 'Clear the way, clear the way! Prepare the path! Remove the stumbling block from the way of my people.'

For thus says the High and Exalted One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: 'I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the crushed.'

For I will not contend forever, nor will I be angry always; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the souls that I have made.

Because of the iniquity of his greed I was angry and struck him; I hid myself and was angry, and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.

I have seen his ways, and I will heal him; and I will guide him, and I will repay comforts to him and to his mourners.

Creating the fruit of the lips: 'Peace, peace to the one far off and to the one near,' says יהוה, 'and I will heal him.'

But the wicked are like the churning sea, for it cannot be still, and its waters churn up mud and mire.

'There is no peace,' says my Elohim, 'for the wicked.'
