A burden of Mitsrayim. Behold, יהוה rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Mitsrayim. And the idols of Mitsrayim will shake from his presence, and the heart of Mitsrayim will melt within it.

And I will incite Mitsrayim against Mitsrayim, and they will fight, man against his brother, and man against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.

And the spirit of Mitsrayim will be emptied out within it, and I will swallow its counsel. And they will seek the idols, and the charmers, and the spirits of the dead, and the mediums.

And I will hand over Mitsrayim into the hand of a harsh master, and a mighty king will rule over them, declares Adonai, יהוה of hosts.

And the waters will fail from the sea, and the river will become dry and waste away.

And the canals will be neglected, the streams of Mitsrayim will diminish and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither.

The papyrus plants by the Nile, by the mouth of the Nile, and every sown thing by the Nile will dry up, be driven away, and be no more.

And the fishermen will lament, and all who cast hooks into the river will mourn, and those who spread nets on the surface of the water will languish.

And those who work with fine flax will be ashamed, and the weavers of white cloth will be distressed.

And its pillars will be crushed, all who make wages, pools of the soul.

Surely, the princes of Tso'an are fools; the counsel of Pharaoh's wise advisors is stupid. How can you say to Pharaoh, 'I am a son of the wise, sons of ancient kings'?

Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you now, and let them understand what Adonai, יהוה of hosts, has planned against Mitsrayim.

The princes of Tso'an have acted foolishly, the princes of Noph have been deceived. They have led Mitsrayim astray, the very corner of its tribes.

יהוה has mixed within it a spirit of confusion, and they have led Mitsrayim astray in every undertaking, just as a drunken person stumbles and vomits.

And there will be no work for Mitsrayim which head and tail, palm branch and reed, can do.

On that day, Mitsrayim will be like women, and will tremble and be terrified because of the shaking of the hand of Adonai, יהוה of hosts, which He shakes against it.

And the land of Yehudah will be a terror to Mitsrayim; everyone who mentions it to them will fear because of the counsel of Adonai, יהוה of hosts, which He plans against it.

On that day, there will be five cities in the land of Mitsrayim speaking the language of Kena'an and swearing allegiance to Adonai, יהוה of hosts. One will be called the City of Destruction.

On that day, there will be an altar to יהוה in the midst of the land of Mitsrayim, and a pillar near its border to יהוה.

And it will be for a sign and for a witness to Adonai, יהוה of hosts, in the land of Mitsrayim. When they cry out to יהוה because of oppressors, He will send them a savior and a champion, and He will deliver them.

And יהוה will make Himself known to Mitsrayim, and Mitsrayim will know יהוה on that day, and they will worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will vow vows to יהוה and fulfill them.

And יהוה will strike Mitsrayim, strike and heal. And they will return to יהוה, and He will be entreated by them and heal them.

On that day, there will be a highway from Mitsrayim to Ashshur, and Ashshur will come into Mitsrayim, and Mitsrayim into Ashshur, and Mitsrayim will serve Ashshur.

On that day, Yisra'el will be a third with Mitsrayim and with Ashshur, a blessing in the midst of the land.

Whom Adonai, יהוה of hosts, has blessed, saying, 'Blessed is My people, the Mitsrayim, and the work of My hands, Ashshur, and My inheritance, Yisra'el.'
