And a shoot will go out from the stump of Yishay, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

And the Spirit of יהוה will rest on him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of יהוה.

And he will discern by the fear of יהוה, and he will not judge by the sight of his eyes, nor decide by the hearing of his ears.

But he will judge with righteousness the poor, and he will decide with equity for the humble of the earth, and he will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

And righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the young lion and the fattened calf together, and a small child will lead them.

And the cow and the bear will graze; their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

And the nursing child will play on the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den.

They will not harm and they will not destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of יהוה as the waters cover the sea.

And it will be in that day, the root of Yishay, which will stand as a banner for the peoples, to it the nations will seek, and his resting place will be glory.

And it will be in that day, Adonai will again extend his hand to acquire the remnant of his people, which will remain from Ashur, and from Mitsrayim, and from Patros, and from Kush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamat, and from the islands of the sea.

And he will lift up a banner for the nations, and he will gather the dispersed of Yisra'el, and he will collect the scattered of Yehudah from the four corners of the earth.

And the envy of Efrayim will depart, and the oppressors of Yehudah will be cut off; Efrayim will not envy Yehudah, and Yehudah will not oppress Efrayim.

And they will fly on the shoulders of the Pelishtim toward the west; together they will plunder the people of the east; they will lay their hand on Edom and Mo'av, and the children of Ammon will obey them.

And יהוה will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Mitsrayim, and he will wave his hand over the river with the heat of his spirit, and he will strike it into seven streams, and he will cause them to walk in sandals.

And there will be a highway for the remnant of his people, which will remain from Ashur, just as there was for Yisra'el on the day they came up from the land of Mitsrayim.
