And Shelomoh began to build the house of יהוה in Yerushalayim on Mount Moriyah, which was shown to David his father, which he prepared in the place of David, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Yevusite.

And he began to build in the second month, in the second [year] in the fourth year of his kingship.

And these are the foundations Shelomoh laid to build the house of Elohim: the length by the first measure was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits.

And the vestibule which was before the length, across the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height was one hundred and twenty, and he overlaid it inside with pure gold.

And the great house he overlaid with cypress wood, and he overlaid it with good gold, and he made figures of palm trees and chains upon it.

And he overlaid the house with precious stones for beauty, and the gold was gold from Parvayim.

And he overlaid the house: the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors with gold, and he carved cherubim on the walls.

And he made the house of holy of holies: its length was across the width of the house twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits, and he overlaid it with good gold, six hundred talents.

And the weight for the nails was fifty shekels of gold, and the upper chambers he overlaid with gold.

And he made in the house of holy of holies two cherubim, the work of carvings, and he overlaid them with gold.

And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits: the wing of one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

And the wing of one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing was five cubits, clinging to the wing of the other cherub.

The wings of these cherubim spread twenty cubits, and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.

And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and he made cherubim upon it.

And he made before the house two pillars, thirty-five cubits was the length, and the capital which was on their heads was five cubits.

And he made chains in the inner sanctuary, and he put them on the heads of the pillars, and he made one hundred pomegranates, and he put them in the chains.

And he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right and one on the left, and he called the name of the right one Yakin, and the name of the left one Boaz.
