And the sons of Re'uven, firstborn of Yisra'el, because he was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his firstborn status was given to the sons of Yosef, son of Yisra'el, and he was not registered by the firstborn status.

For Yehudah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came the ruler, but the firstborn status belonged to Yosef.

The sons of Re'uven, firstborn of Yisra'el: Ḥanokh and Pel'et, Ḥetsron and Karmi.

The sons of Yo'el: Shma'yah his son, Gog his son, Shim'i his son.

Mikha his son, Re'ayah his son, Ba'al his son.

Be'erah his son, whom Tiglat-Pil'neser, king of Ashshur, exiled. He was a chief of the Re'uveni.

And these were the chiefs of their ancestral houses: 'Efer and Yishshai and Eli'el and 'Azri'el and Yirmeyah and Hodaviah and Yaḥdi'el, men of valor, men of renown, chiefs of their ancestral houses.

And they were unfaithful to the Elohim of their fathers, and they went whoring after the elohim of the peoples of the land, whom Elohim had destroyed from before them.

And the Elohim of Yisra'el stirred up the spirit of Pul, king of Ashshur, and the spirit of Tiglat-Pil'neser, king of Ashshur, and he exiled them, the Re'uveni, and the Gadi, and the half-tribe of Menashsheh, and brought them to Ḥalaḥ and Ḥavor and Harah and the river Gozan, until this day.

The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kehat, and Merari.

And 'Uzzi fathered Zerakhyah, and Zerakhyah fathered Merayot.

Merayot fathered Amaryah, and Amaryah fathered Aḥituv.

And Aḥituv fathered Tsadoq, and Tsadoq fathered Aḥima'ats.

And Aḥima'ats fathered 'Azaryah, and 'Azaryah fathered Yoḥanan.

And Yoḥanan fathered 'Azaryah, he who served as priest in the house that Shelomoh built in Yerushalayim.

And 'Azaryah fathered Amaryah, and Amaryah fathered Aḥituv.

And Aḥituv fathered Tsadoq, and Tsadoq fathered Shallum.

And Shallum fathered Ḥilqiyah, and Ḥilqiyah fathered 'Azaryah.

And 'Azaryah fathered Serayah, and Serayah fathered Yehotzadak.

And Yehotzadak went into exile when יהוה exiled Yehudah and Yerushalayim by the hand of Nevukhadnetstsar.
