And Yisra'el journeyed, and all that was his, and came to Be'er Sheva, and sacrificed sacrifices to the Elohim of his father Yitsḥaq.

And Elohim spoke to Yisra'el in visions of the night, and said, Ya'aqov, Ya'aqov. And he said, Here I am.

And he said, I am El, the Elohim of your father. Do not fear going down to Mitsrayim, for to a great nation I will make you there.

I will go down with you to Mitsrayim, and I will also bring you up, and Yosef will place his hand on your eyes.

And Ya'aqov arose from Be'er Sheva, and the sons of Yisra'el carried Ya'aqov their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Par'oh had sent to carry him.

And they took their livestock and their property which they had acquired in the land of Kena'an, and came to Mitsrayim, Ya'aqov and all his seed with him.

His sons and his sons' sons with him, his daughters and his daughters' sons, all his seed he brought with him to Mitsrayim.

And these are the names of the sons of Yisra'el who came to Mitsrayim, Ya'aqov and his sons. The firstborn of Ya'aqov, Re'uven.

And the sons of Re'uven: Ḥanokh, and Pallu, and Ḥetsron, and Karmi.

And the sons of Shim'on: Yemu'el, and Yamin, and Ohad, and Yakhin, and Tsokhar, and Sha'ul, son of the Kena'anite woman.

And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Qehat, and Merari.

And the sons of Yehudah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perets, and Zeraḥ. And 'Er and Onan died in the land of Kena'an. And the sons of Perets were Ḥetsron and Ḥamul.

And the sons of Yissakhar: Tola, and Puvah, and Yov, and Shimron.

And the sons of Zevulun: Sered, and Elon, and Yaḥle'el.

These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Ya'aqov in Padan Aram, and Dinah his daughter. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty-three.

And the sons of Gad: Tsifyon, and Ḥaggi, Shuni, and Etzbon, 'Eri, and Arodi, and Ar'eli.

And the sons of Asher: Yimnah, and יהוה, and Yishvi, and Beri'ah, and Serah their sister. And the sons of Beri'ah: Ḥever, and Malki'el.

These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Lavan gave to Leah his daughter, and she bore these to Ya'aqov, sixteen souls.

The sons of Raḥel, Ya'aqov's wife: Yosef and Binyamin.

And to Yosef were born in the land of Mitsrayim, whom Osnat, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him: Manasseh and Efrayim.

And the sons of Binyamin: Bela, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Na'aman, Eḥi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Ḥuppim, and Arad.

These are the sons of Raḥel, who were born to Ya'aqov. All souls, fourteen.

And the sons of Dan: Ḥushim.

And the sons of Naftali: Yaḥtse'el, and Guni, and Yetser, and Shillem.

These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Lavan gave to Raḥel his daughter, and she bore these to Ya'aqov. All souls, seven.

All the souls who came to Ya'aqov in Mitsrayim, those who came from his loins, besides Ya'aqov's sons' wives, all souls, sixty-six.

And the sons of Yosef who were born to him in Mitsrayim, two souls. All the souls of the house of Ya'aqov who came to Mitsrayim were seventy.

And Yehudah he sent before him to Yosef, to direct him to Goshen. And they came to the land of Goshen.

And Yosef harnessed his chariot, and went up to meet Yisra'el his father in Goshen. And he appeared to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck again.

And Yisra'el said to Yosef, I am ready to die, now that I have seen your face, because you are still alive.

And Yosef said to his brothers and to his father's house, I will go up and tell Par'oh, and say to him, My brothers and my father's house who were in the land of Kena'an have come to me.

And the men are shepherds, for they have been men of livestock, and their flocks and their herds and all that they have, they have brought.

And it will be, when Par'oh calls you and says, What is your occupation?

And you shall say, Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth until now, both we and our fathers, so that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to Mitsrayim.
