And it happened in the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first of the month, the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, say to Pharaoh, king of Mitsrayim, and to his multitude: To whom have you become like in your greatness?

Look, Assyria, a cedar in Lebanon, beautiful of branch and shady of forest, and tall of stature, and among the thickets its crown was.

Waters made it grow, the deep made it rise; its rivers went around its plantation, and its channels it sent to all the trees of the field.

Therefore its stature was high because of all the trees of the field, and its branches multiplied, and its boughs lengthened because of abundant waters in its sending.

In its branches all the birds of the sky nested, and under its boughs all the wild animals gave birth, and in its shade all the many nations sat.

And it became magnificent in its greatness, in the length of its branches, because its root was to abundant waters.

Cedars did not overshadow it in the garden of Elohim; cypresses did not equal its branches, and plane trees were not like its boughs; every tree in the garden of Elohim did not equal it in its beauty.

Beautiful I made it in the abundance of its branches, and all the trees of Eden which were in the garden of Elohim envied it.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה: Because you were high in stature, and its crown reached among the thickets, and its heart was lifted up in its height.

And I will give it into the hand of the mighty of nations; they will do to it according to its wickedness; I will cast it out.

And strangers, the terrible ones of nations, cut it down, and they cast it upon the mountains, and in all the valleys its branches fell, and its boughs were broken in all the ravines of the land, and all the peoples of the land went from its shade and cast it away.

Upon its fallen part all the birds of the sky will dwell, and to its boughs were all the wild animals of the field.

So that all the trees of water will not be high in their stature, and will not send their crown among the thickets, and will not stand up to them in their height, all the drinkers of water; because all of them were given to death, to the earth below, among the sons of man, to those who go down to the pit.

Thus says Adonai יהוה: On the day it went down to Sheol, I made the deep mourn; I covered it with the deep, and I withheld its rivers, and abundant waters were stopped, and I made Lebanon languish over it, and all the trees of the field withered over it.

From the sound of its fall I made nations tremble when I brought it down to Sheol, to those who go down to the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and good of Lebanon, all the drinkers of water, were comforted in the earth below.

They also went down with it to Sheol, to the slain by the sword, and its arm sat in its shade among the nations.

To whom have you become like this in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? And you will bring down the trees of Eden to the earth below; among the uncircumcised you will lie with the slain by the sword; this is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says Adonai יהוה.
