And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying:

Speak to the sons of Yisra'el, and they shall turn back and encamp before Pi HaḤirot, between Migdol and between the sea, before Ba'al Tsfón; opposite it you shall encamp by the sea.

And Par'oh will say concerning the sons of Yisra'el, 'They are confused in the land; the wilderness has closed in on them.'

And I will strengthen Par'oh's heart, and he will pursue after them, and I will be glorified through Par'oh and through all his army, and Mitsrayim will know that I am יהוה.' And they did so.

And it was told to the king of Mitsrayim that the people had fled, and the heart of Par'oh and his servants turned concerning the people, and they said, 'What is this that we have done, that we have sent Yisra'el away from serving us?'

And he harnessed his chariot, and his people he took with him.

And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Mitsrayim, and officers over all of them.

And יהוה strengthened the heart of Par'oh, king of Mitsrayim, and he pursued after the sons of Yisra'el, and the sons of Yisra'el were going out with a high hand.

And Mitsrayim pursued after them, and they overtook them, encamped by the sea, all the horses of Par'oh's chariots and his horsemen and his army, by Pi HaḤirot, before Ba'al Tsfón.

And Par'oh drew near, and the sons of Yisra'el lifted up their eyes, and behold, Mitsrayim was marching after them, and they feared greatly, and the sons of Yisra'el cried out to יהוה.

And they said to Mosheh, 'Were there no graves in Mitsrayim that you took us away to die in the wilderness? What is this that you have done to us, to bring us out of Mitsrayim?'

'Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Mitsrayim, saying, 'Leave us alone, and let us serve Mitsrayim'? For it is better for us to serve Mitsrayim than to die in the wilderness.'

And Mosheh said to the people, 'Do not fear; stand still and see the deliverance of יהוה, which He will do for you today, for as you have seen Mitsrayim today, you shall not see them again forever.'

יהוה will fight for you, and you shall be silent.

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the sons of Yisra'el, and let them march.'

And you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it, and the sons of Yisra'el shall go through the midst of the sea on dry ground.

And I, behold, I will strengthen the heart of Mitsrayim, and they will go in after them, and I will be glorified through Par'oh and through all his army, through his chariots and through his horsemen.

And Mitsrayim shall know that I am יהוה, when I am glorified through Par'oh, through his chariots and through his horsemen.

And the angel of Elohim, who was going before the camp of Yisra'el, moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

And it came between the camp of Mitsrayim and between the camp of Yisra'el, and it was cloud and darkness, and it lit up the night, and one did not come near the other all night.

And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea, and יהוה caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night, and He made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

And the sons of Yisra'el went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left.

And Mitsrayim pursued, and they went in after them, all of Par'oh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen, into the midst of the sea.

And it came to pass in the morning watch, and יהוה looked down upon the camp of Mitsrayim through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He threw the camp of Mitsrayim into confusion.

And He took off the wheels of their chariots, and drove them with difficulty, and Mitsrayim said, 'Let us flee from before Yisra'el, for יהוה is fighting for them against Mitsrayim.'

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Stretch out your hand over the sea, and let the waters return upon Mitsrayim, upon their chariots and upon their horsemen.'

And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned at the turning of the morning to its strength, and Mitsrayim were fleeing toward it, and יהוה shook Mitsrayim into the midst of the sea.

And the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, all of Par'oh's army that came in after them into the sea; not one of them was left.

But the sons of Yisra'el walked on dry ground through the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left.

And יהוה saved Yisra'el on that day from the hand of Mitsrayim, and Yisra'el saw Mitsrayim dead on the shore of the sea.

And Yisra'el saw the great hand that יהוה had worked against Mitsrayim, and the people feared יהוה, and they believed in יהוה and in His servant Mosheh.
