And it happened in the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day of it, when the king's command and his decree arrived to be done on the day when the enemies of the Yehudim hoped to rule over them, and it was turned around, that the Yehudim themselves would rule over their haters.

The Yehudim gathered in their cities throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus to send a hand against those seeking their evil, and no one stood before them, for their fear fell upon all the peoples.

And all the rulers of the provinces, and the satraps, and the governors, and the king's officials supported the Yehudim, for the fear of Mordekhay fell upon them.

For Mordekhay was great in the king's house, and his report went throughout all the provinces, for the man Mordekhay was going and growing great.

And the Yehudim struck all their enemies with a blow of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and they did to their haters according to their will.

And in Shushan the capital, the Yehudim killed and destroyed five hundred men.

And Parshendata, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

And Porata, and Adalia, and Aridata,

And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajzatha,

The ten sons of Haman son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Yehudim, they killed, but on the plunder they did not send their hand.

On that day, the number of those killed in Shushan the capital came before the king.

And the king said to Esther the queen, 'In Shushan the capital, the Yehudim killed and destroyed five hundred men and the ten sons of Haman; in the rest of the king's provinces, what did they do? And what is your request, and it will be given to you? And what is your further petition, and it will be done?'

And Esther said, 'If it is good in the king's sight, let it be given tomorrow also to the Yehudim who are in Shushan to do according to the decree of today, and let the ten sons of Haman be hanged on the tree.'

And the king said to have it done so, and a decree was given in Shushan, and the ten sons of Haman were hanged.

And the Yehudim who were in Shushan gathered also on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar, and they killed three hundred men in Shushan, but on the plunder they did not send their hand.

And the rest of the Yehudim who were in the king's provinces gathered and stood up for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and killed seventy-five thousand of their haters, but on the plunder they did not send their hand.

On the thirteenth day of the month of Adar, and they rested on the fourteenth day of it, and made it a day of feasting and joy.

And the Yehudim who were in Shushan gathered on the thirteenth day of it, and on the fourteenth day of it, and rested on the fifteenth day of it, and made it a day of feasting and joy.

Therefore, the Yehudim who are in the unwalled towns make the fourteenth day of the month of Adar a day of joy and feasting, and a holiday, and sending gifts, each man to his neighbor.

And Mordekhay wrote these words and sent letters to all the Yehudim who were in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, both near and far.

To establish upon them to be doing the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and the fifteenth day of it, every year and every year.

As the days on which the Yehudim rested from their enemies, and the month in which it was turned for them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning to a holiday, to make them days of feasting and joy, and sending gifts, each man to his neighbor, and presents to the poor.

And the Yehudim accepted what they had begun to do, and what Mordekhay had written to them.

For Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Yehudim, had plotted against the Yehudim to destroy them, and he cast Pur, which is the lot, to crush and destroy them.

And when she came before the king, he said with the scroll, 'Let his evil plot which he plotted against the Yehudim return upon his own head,' and they hanged him and his sons on the tree.

Therefore, they called those days Purim, after the name of Pur; therefore, concerning all the words of this letter, and what they saw concerning it, and what reached them.

The Yehudim established and accepted upon themselves and upon their seed, and upon all who joined themselves to them, that it would not pass away to be doing these two days according to their writing and according to their appointed time, every year and every year.

And these days are remembered and done in every generation, every family, every province, and every city, and these days of Purim will not pass away from among the Yehudim, and their remembrance will not be cut off from their seed.

And Esther the queen, daughter of Abihail, and Mordekhay the Yehudi wrote all the authority to establish this second letter of Purim.

And he sent letters to all the Yehudim, to the one hundred and twenty-seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, words of peace and truth.

To establish these days of Purim in their appointed times, just as Mordekhay the Yehudi and Esther the queen established upon them, and just as they established upon themselves and upon their seed the words of the fasts and their cry.

And the decree of Esther established these words of Purim, and it was written in the scroll.
