Listen, heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

Let my teaching drop like rain, my speech flow like dew, like drizzles on grass, like showers on vegetation.

For I will call on the name of יהוה; give greatness to our Elohim.

The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice; an Elohim of faithfulness and without iniquity, righteous and upright is He.

They have corrupted themselves; not his children, a blemish, a generation crooked and twisted.

Do you repay יהוה like this, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your father who acquired you? He made you and established you.

Remember the days of old, consider the years of generation after generation; ask your father and he will tell you, your elders and they will say to you.

When the Most High divided nations, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of Yisra'el.

For the portion of יהוה is his people; Ya'aqov is the lot of his inheritance.

He found him in a desert land, and in a desolate, howling wilderness; he surrounded him, he instructed him, he guarded him like the pupil of his eye.

Like an eagle stirs its nest, over its young it hovers, it spreads its wings, it takes them, it carries them on its pinions.

יהוה alone guided him, and no foreign elohim was with him.

He made him ride on the heights of the land, and he ate the produce of the fields, and he made him suck honey from the rock, and oil from the flinty stone.

Curds of cows and milk of sheep, with the fat of lambs and rams, sons of Bashan, and he-goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat, and you drank the blood of grapes, wine.

But Yeshurun grew fat and kicked; you grew fat, thick, and sleek; he abandoned the elohim who made him, and he scorned the Rock of his salvation.

They provoked him with foreign gods; with abominations they angered him.

They sacrificed to demons, not to elohim, to elohim they had not known, new ones from nearby, not feared by your fathers.

You neglected the Rock who fathered you, and you forgot the elohim who formed you.

And יהוה saw, and he disdained them because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

And he said, 'I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end will be, for they are a generation of perversity, sons in whom there is no faithfulness.'

They provoked me with what is not an elohim; they angered me with their vanities. And I will provoke them with what is not a people; with a foolish nation I will anger them.

For fire is kindled in my anger, and it burns to the lowest Sheol, and it devours the earth and its fullness, and it ignites the foundations of the mountains.

I will heap evils upon them; I will spend my arrows on them.

They will be wasted by hunger, and consumed by burning heat, and bitter destruction, and the teeth of beasts I will send upon them, with the fury of crawling things of the dust.

From outside the sword will bereave, and from within terror; both the young man and the virgin, the nursing child with the old man.

I said, 'I will scatter them, I will make their memory cease from mankind.'

If I had not feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should misunderstand, lest they should say, 'Our hand is high, and יהוה has not done all this.'

For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them.

If they were wise, they would understand this; they would discern their future.

How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and יהוה had given them up?

For our Rock is not like their Rock, and our enemies are judges.

For their vine is from the vine of Sedom, and from the fields of 'Amorah; their grapes are grapes of poison, their clusters are bitter.

Their wine is the venom of serpents, and the cruel head of cobras.

Is this not stored up with me, sealed in my treasuries?

Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slips; for their day of disaster is near, and their future hastens.

For יהוה will judge his people, and he will relent concerning his servants, when he sees that their strength is gone, and neither the confined nor the free remain.

And he will say, 'Where are their elohim, the Rock in whom they took refuge?'

Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, who drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise and help you; let him be your hiding place.

See now that I, I myself, am He, and there is no elohim besides Me; I kill and I make alive, I have wounded and I will heal, and there is none who can deliver from my hand.

For I lift my hand to the heavens and say, 'As I live forever.'

If I sharpen the flash of my sword, and my hand takes hold of judgment, I will repay vengeance to my enemies, and I will recompense those who hate me.

I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword will devour flesh, from the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the enemy's chiefs.

Rejoice, nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and he will repay vengeance to his adversaries, and he will atone for his land, his people.

And Mosheh came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of all the people, he and Hoshea son of Nun.

And Mosheh finished speaking all these words to all Yisra'el.

And he said to them, 'Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to keep, to do all the words of this Torah.'

For it is not a vain word for you; indeed, it is your life, and by this word you will prolong your days on the land which you are crossing the Yarden to possess.

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh on this very day, saying:

'Ascend this 'Avarim mountain, Mount Nevo, which is in the land of Mo'av, which is opposite Yeriḥo, and see the land of Kena'an, which I am giving to the sons of Yisra'el for a possession.'

'And you will die on the mountain which you ascend there, and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aharon died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people.'

'Because you trespassed against me among the sons of Yisra'el at the waters of Merivah of Qadesh in the wilderness of Tsin, because you did not sanctify me among the sons of Yisra'el.'

'For you will see the land from a distance, but you will not go there into the land which I am giving to the sons of Yisra'el.'
