Thus says יהוה: Concerning three transgressions of Mo'av, and concerning four, I will not turn back its punishment, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.

And I will send fire upon Mo'av, and it will consume the palaces of Keri'yot, and Mo'av will die with a great noise, with shouting, with the sound of a shofar.

And I will cut off a judge from its midst, and I will kill all its officials with him, says יהוה.

And I will send fire upon Yehudah, and it will consume the palaces of Yerushalayim.

Thus says יהוה: Concerning three transgressions of Yisra'el, and concerning four, I will not turn back its punishment, because they sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.

They trample the head of the poor into the dust of the earth, and they turn aside the way of the humble, and a man and his father go to the same young woman, so that they profane My holy name.

And they lie down beside every altar on garments taken as pledges, and in the house of their 'elohim they drink wine of fines.

Yet I destroyed the Emori before them, whose height was like the height of cedars, and he was strong like oaks, and I destroyed his fruit from above and his roots from below.

Also, I brought you up from the land of Mitsrayim, and I led you through the wilderness forty years, to possess the land of the Emori.

And I raised up some of your sons as prophets, and some of your young men as nazirites. Is this not so, O sons of Yisra'el? declares יהוה.

But you gave the nazirites wine to drink, and you commanded the prophets, saying, 'Do not prophesy!'

Behold, I will press you down, just as a cart full of sheaves presses down.

Then flight will fail the swift, and the strong will not strengthen his power, and the mighty will not save his life.

The one who handles the bow will not stand, and the swift of foot will not escape, and the one who rides a horse will not escape with his life.

And the courageous among the warriors will flee naked on that day, declares יהוה.
