My son, do not forget my teaching, and let your heart keep my commands.

For length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.

Loyalty and truth, do not let them leave you; tie them on your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

And find favor and good sense in the eyes of Elohim and man.

Trust in יהוה with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding.

In all your ways know Him, and He will make straight your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear יהוה and turn away from evil.

It will be a healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.

Honor יהוה with your wealth and with the first of all your produce.

And your storehouses will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

My son, do not despise the discipline of יהוה, and do not be weary of His correction.

For whom יהוה loves, He corrects, and like a father, He favors his son.

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding.

For her merchandise is better than the merchandise of silver, and her yield than fine gold.

She is more precious than pearls, and all your desires are not equal to her.

Length of days is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those who grasp her, and whoever holds her is happy.

יהוה by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens.

By His knowledge the deeps were broken open, and the skies drip with dew.

My son, let them not depart from your eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion.

And they will be life to your soul and favor to your neck.

Then you will walk in your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.

When you lie down, you will not be afraid, and when you lie down, your sleep will be pleasant.

Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes.

For יהוה will be your confidence, and He will guard your foot from being trapped.

Do not withhold good from its owners, when it is in your power to do.

Do not say to your neighbor, 'Go and come back, and tomorrow I will give,' when you have it with you.

Do not plan evil against your neighbor, when he lives securely with you.

Do not quarrel with a man for no reason, if he has done you no harm.

Do not envy a violent man, nor choose any of his ways.

For the crooked are an abomination to יהוה, but His counsel is with the upright.

The curse of יהוה is in the house of the wicked, but He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.

If it is about scoffers, He scoffs, but to the humble, He gives favor.

The wise will inherit honor, but fools promote disgrace.
