And all Yisra'el were registered, and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Yisra'el and Yehudah; they were exiled to Babel because of their rebellion.

And the first inhabitants who were in their holdings in their cities were Yisra'el, the kohanim, the Levi'im, and the Netinim.

And in Yerushalayim lived some of the sons of Yehudah, and some of the sons of Binyamin, and some of the sons of Efrayim and Menasheh.

Utay son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, from the sons of Perets, son of Yehudah.

And from the Shiloni, Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

And from the sons of Zerach, Yeuel, and their brothers, six hundred and ninety.

And from the sons of Binyamin, Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah.

And Ibneiah son of Yeroham, and Ela son of Uzzi, son of Mikri, and Meshullam son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibneiah.

And their brothers according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six; all these were men, heads of fathers' houses.

And from the kohanim, Yedayah, and Yehoyarib, and Yakhin.

And Azaryah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Tsadoq, son of Merayot, son of Aḥitub, ruler of the house of Elohim.

And Adaiah son of Yeroham, son of Pashḥur, son of Malkiah, and Maaseiah son of Adiel, son of Yaḥzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer.

And their brothers, heads of their fathers' houses, one thousand seven hundred and sixty mighty men of valor, for the work of the service of the house of Elohim.

And from the Levi'im, Shemaiah son of Ḥashub, son of Azrikam, son of Ḥashabiah, from the sons of Merari.

And Bakbakkar, Ḥeresh, and Galal, and Mattanyah son of Mikah, son of Zikri, son of Asaph.

And Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Yeduthun, and Berechiah son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of Netophah.

And the gatekeepers: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Aḥiman, and their brothers; Shallum was the chief.

And until now, at the King's Gate, eastward, they are the gatekeepers for the camps of the sons of Levi.

And Shallum son of Kore, son of Evyasaph, son of Qorah, and his brothers from his fathers' house, the Qorḥites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, and their fathers were over the camp of יהוה, keepers of the entrance.

And Pineḥas son of El'azar was overseer over them formerly; יהוה was with him.

Zakaryah son of Meshelemyah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

All these who were chosen as gatekeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. They were registered in their villages; David and Shemu'el the seer established them in their faithfulness.

And they and their sons were over the gates of the house of יהוה, the house of the tent, for guard duty.

The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.

And their brothers in their villages had to come every seven days from time to time with these.

For faithfully, the four chief gatekeepers were the Levi'im; they were over the chambers and over the treasuries of the house of Elohim.

And they lodged all around the house of Elohim, because it was their duty, and they were responsible for the keys, and for opening every morning.

And some of them were in charge of the utensils, for they brought them in by number and took them out by number.

And some of them were appointed over the furnishings, and over all the holy utensils, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

And from the sons of the kohanim, they prepared the mixtures of spices.

And Mattityah from the Levi'im, he was the firstborn of Shallum the Qorḥite, faithfully in charge of the baking of the cakes.

And from the sons of the Qehatites, from their brothers, were in charge of the showbread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

And these are the singers, heads of fathers' houses of the Levi'im, in the chambers, exempt, because day and night they were on duty for the work.

These are the heads of the fathers of the Levi'im according to their generations; these chiefs lived in Yerushalayim.

And in Giv'on lived the father of Giv'on, Ye'iel, and the name of his wife was Ma'akah.

And his firstborn son was Avdon, and Tsur, and Qish, and Ba'al, and Ner, and Nadav.

And Gedor, and Aḥiyo, and Zakaryah, and Miklot.

And Miklot fathered Shim'am, and they also lived opposite their brothers in Yerushalayim with their brothers.

And Ner fathered Qish, and Qish fathered Sha'ul, and Sha'ul fathered Yonatan, and Malkishua, and Avinadav, and Eshba'al.

And the son of Yonatan was Merib-Ba'al, and Merib-Ba'al fathered Mikah.

And the sons of Mikah: Pithon, and Melek, and Tahre'a.

And Aḥaz fathered Ya'arah, and Ya'arah fathered 'Alemeth, and 'Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri fathered Moṣa.

And Moṣa fathered Binea, and Rephayah his son, El'asah his son, Atzel his son.

And to Atzel were six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bokhru, and Ishma'el, and She'aryah, and Obadiah, and Ḥanan. These are the sons of Atzel.
