And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Come to Par'oh, for I have made his heart and the heart of his servants heavy, so that I may place these signs of Mine in his midst.'

'And so that you may tell in the ears of your son and your son's son what I have done in Mitsrayim, and My signs which I have placed among them, and you will know that I am יהוה.'

'And Mosheh and Aharon came to Par'oh and said to him, 'Thus says יהוה, Elohim of the Hebrews: How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Send forth My people that they may serve Me.'

'For if you refuse to send forth My people, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory.'

'And they will cover the eye of the land, and they will not be able to see the land, and they will eat the remainder of the escape that is left to you from the hail, and they will eat every tree that grows for you from the field.'

'And your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all Mitsrayim will be filled, which your fathers and your fathers' fathers have not seen from the day they were on the ground until this day.' And he turned and went out from Par'oh.

'And the servants of Par'oh said to him, 'How long will this be a snare to us? Send forth the men that they may serve יהוה their Elohim. Do you not yet know that Mitsrayim is perishing?'

'And Mosheh and Aharon were brought back to Par'oh, and he said to them, 'Go, serve יהוה your Elohim. Who and who are going?'

'And Mosheh said, 'With our young men and with our old men we will go; with our sons and with our daughters, with our sheep and with our cattle we will go, for it is a feast of יהוה for us.'

'And he said to them, 'May יהוה be with you as I send you forth and your little ones. See, evil is before your faces.'

'Not so! Go now, you men, and serve יהוה, for that is what you are seeking.' And he drove them out from the face of Par'oh.

'And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Stretch out your hand over the land of Mitsrayim because of the locusts, and let them come up on the land of Mitsrayim and eat every plant of the land, all that the hail has left.'

'And Mosheh stretched out his staff over the land of Mitsrayim, and יהוה drove an east wind across the land all that day and all that night; the morning came, and the east wind carried the locusts.'

'And the locusts came up over all the land of Mitsrayim and settled in all the territory of Mitsrayim, very heavy before them; there has not been such a swarm of locusts like it before, and after it there will not be such.'

'And they covered the eye of the whole land, and the land became dark, and they ate every plant of the land and all the fruit of the tree which the hail had left, and no green thing remained on the tree and on the field in all the land of Mitsrayim.'

'And Par'oh hurried to call for Mosheh and Aharon, and he said, 'I have sinned against יהוה your Elohim and against you.'

'And now, please forgive my sin, only this once, and intercede with יהוה your Elohim, that He may remove from me only this death.'

'And he went out from Par'oh and interceded with יהוה.

'And יהוה turned a very strong sea wind, and it lifted the locusts and drove them into the Sea of Reeds; not one locust remained in all the territory of Mitsrayim.'

'And יהוה strengthened the heart of Par'oh, and he did not send forth the children of Yisra'el.'

'And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, and let there be darkness over the land of Mitsrayim, and let darkness be felt.'

'And Mosheh stretched out his hand toward the heavens, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Mitsrayim for three days.'

'No one saw his brother, and no one rose from his place for three days, but for all the children of Yisra'el there was light in their dwellings.'

'And Par'oh called to Mosheh and said, 'Go, serve יהוה; only your sheep and your cattle shall be held back; your little ones also shall go with you.'

'And Mosheh said, 'You must also give into our hands sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may offer to יהוה our Elohim.'

'And also our livestock must go with us; not one hoof shall be left behind, for from it we must take to serve יהוה our Elohim, and we do not know what we shall serve יהוה until we arrive there.'

'And יהוה strengthened the heart of Par'oh, and he was not willing to send them forth.'

'And Par'oh said to him, 'Go from me! Take care for yourself; do not again see my face, for on the day you see my face, you will die.'

'And Mosheh said, 'As you have spoken, I will not again see your face.'
