The new moon was easily sighted, high and bright at 8:40 PM MDT on 26 June, 2025 (only around 20 minutes after local sunset).
I checked yesterday (25 June) but was only able to spot it using binoculars. (Not surprising since it was only 0.6% to 0.7% illuminated that day.)
