כִּי־בָחַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּצִיּ֑וֹן אִ֝וָּ֗הּ לְמוֹשָׁ֥ב לֽוֹ׃
זֹאת־מְנוּחָתִ֥י עֲדֵי־עַ֑ד פֹּה־אֵ֝שֵׁ֗ב כִּ֣י אִוִּתִֽיהָ׃
Ki vaḥar יהוה betsiyyon ivvah lemoshav lo.
Zot menuḥati ‘adeh ‘ad, po eshev ki ivvitiha.
For יהוה has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation.
This is My resting place forever; Here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

וּבַשָּׁנָה֩ הָאַ֨חַ֜ת עָשָׂ֜ר בְּחֹ֣דֶשׁ בּ֗וּל הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י כָּלָ֣ה הַבַּ֔יִת בְּכָל־דְּבָרָ֖יו וּלְכָל־מִשְׁפָּטָ֑יו וַיִּבְנֵ֖הוּ שֶׁ֥בַע שָׁנִֽים׃
ū·ḇaš·šā·nāh hā·’a·ḥaṯ ‘ā·śār bə·ḥō·ḏeš būl haš·šə·mî·nî kā·lāh hab·ba·yiṯ bə·ḵāl-də·ḇā·rāw ū·lə·ḵāl-miš·pā·ṭāw way·yiḇ·nê·hū še·ḇa‘ šā·nîm.
And in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the house was finished in all its matters and in all its ordinances, and he built it seven years.

וַיַּ֣עַשׂ יָרָבְעָ֣ם ׀ חָ֡ג בַּחֲמִשָּֽׁה־עָשָׂ֙ר֙ י֨וֹם ׀ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁמִינִ֣י כֶּחָ֣ג אֲשֶׁ֣ר בִּיהוּדָ֗ה וַיַּ֙עַל֙ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ כֵּ֤ן עָשָׂה֙ בֵּֽית־אֵ֔ל לְזַבֵּ֖חַ לָעֲגָלִ֣ים אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂ֑ה וְהֶעֱמִיד֙ בֵּֽית־אֵ֔ל כֹּֽהֲנֵ֥י הַבָּמ֖וֹת אֲשֶׁר עָשָֽׂה׃
Vaya’as Yarav’am chag bachamish’ah-asar yom bachodesh hashemini kechag asher biYehudah vayya’al al-hammizbeach ken ‘asah Beit-El lezabeach la’agalim asher ‘asah vehe’emid Beit-El kohanei habbamot asher ‘asah.
And Jeroboam made a feast on the fifteenth day in the eighth month like the feast that was in Judah and he went up on the altar; so he did in Bethel to sacrifice to the calves that he had made, and he stationed in Bethel priests of the high places that he had made.

בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה יוֹם֙ הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ בָּדָ֣א וַיַּ֜עַל עַֽל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֣חַ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֣ה בֵּֽית־אֵ֗ל וַיַּ֤עַשׂ חָג֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּ֥עַל עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ לְהַקְטִֽיר׃
Ba-ḥamish-shah yom ha-shmini ba-ḥodesh ba-da va-ya’al al-ha-mizbe-aḥ a-sher a-sah beit-el va-ya’as ḥag liv-nei yis-ra-el va-ya’al al-ha-mizbe-aḥ le-haq-tir.
On the fifteenth day of the eighth month, a month of his own choosing, he went up on the altar that he had made in Bethel, and he made a feast for the children of Israel, and he went up on the altar to burn incense.
Divrei Hayamim I (1 Chronicles) 27:11
הַשְּׁמִינִי לַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁמִינִי סִבְּכַי הַחֻשָׁתִי לַזַּרְחִי וְעַל מַחֲלֻקְתּוֹ עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה אָלֶף
haš-šə-mî-nî la-ḥō-deš haš-šə-mî-nî sib-bə-ḵay ha-ḥu-šā-tî la-zar-ḥî wə-‘al ma-ḥa-luq-tô ‘eś-rîm wə-’ar-bā-‘āh ’ā-lef
The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahite, and over his division were twenty-four thousand.
Zekharyah (Zechariah) 1:1
בַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י בִּשְׁנַ֥ת שְׁתַּ֖יִם לְדָרְיָ֑וֶשׁ הָיָ֣ה דְבַר־יְהוָ֗ה אֶל־זְכַרְיָה֙ בֶּן־בֶּ֣רֶכְיָ֔ה בֶּן־עִדּ֥וֹ הַנָּבִ֖יא לֵאמֹֽר׃
Ba-ḥo·ḏeš haš·šə·mî·nî biš·naṯ šə·ta·yim lə·ḏā·rə·yā·weš hā·yāh ḏə·ḇar- יהוה el- zə·ḵar·yāh ben- be·re·ḵyāh ben- ‘id·dō han·nā·ḇî lê·mōr.
In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of יהוה came to Zechariah son of Berechiah son of Iddo the prophet, saying.
