New moon day greetings to each and all on this Monday afternoon 20th November 2017 after having sighted the biblical ninth new moon Chisleu (Nehemiah 1:1; Zechariah 7:1) from my country of Dominica last evening Sunday 19th November 2017.
After a thirty-one (31) minutes of searching intensely for the new moon last evening, I caught sight of it at 18:03 which was a bit late after the sunset time of 17:32 due to some hazy thin clouds as can be seen in this new moon photo album https://www.facebook.com/
Bro. Craig Massicot had reported of sighting it first with binoculars at 17:57 and then with his naked eyes together with his wife Sis. Jackie Massicott at 18:03.
Also confirming having sighted the new moon with the naked eyes are Sis. Josian Boyd at 18:06 and from the Caribbean French island of Guadeloupe is Sis. Cecilia Christmas at 18:15.
In all I can confirm at time of this posting who have naked eye sighted the new moon from Dominica last evening Sunday 19th November 2017 from my country of Dominica, including myself, are four (4) of us. More confirmations have not yet reached me to this Monday afternoon 20th November 2017 new-moon-first-day of the biblical ninth (9th) month Chisleu. Thanks to those who have confirmed and will confirm their sighting of the new moon. You’ll see pictures in this album https://www.facebook.
It’s indeed good to once again been able to be back on the grounds of the New Roseau Market to look for the new moon last evening for the first time since the passage of hurricane Maria and is the third new moon since that devastating hurricane.
It might not be before the ending of the first four months period of next year 2018 that there will once again be full coverage throughout the country with electricity and internet connections at home that this past hurricane Maria has ripped so many of us from. It might be a longer period of time than that for those of us whose homes that have been completely blown down, including mines, by the hurricane just a little over two moons ago on Monday evening 18th September. Internet data on my phone looks even to be holding me ransom of recent as the internet service itself, on island, is gradually being restored at the paste the network providers can with so much hurdles and limitations, following the sort of immense and total destruction that hurricane Maria brought including on the internet service island-wide. Very limited or no personal privileged access means for some to find where to get our handsets electrically charged, depending on which part of the island we live. It is from the comfort of our homes that the hurricane deprived us from, to the discomfort of daily or weekly having to reach where hurricane relief in WiFi and electrical charging is freely provided by network providers, media and business houses for which I can’t help but be grateful and give thanks for such relief gratitude from the providers of such that I’m able to submit this one more and third consecutive new moon report since the hurricane, with encountered difficulties that made it not possible to had get this information out to you as early as last evening itself just after our sighting of the new moon. Surf cafes reopening are indeed a sign that we’re slowing emerging from the much heavy whipping by the hurricane.
This ninth moon Chisleu (Nehemiah 1:1; Zechariah 7:1) being expected to as well carry thirty (30) days just like this past eighth moon Bul (1 Kings 6:38) makes for next month Tuesday sunset 19th December 2017 to be when the next new moon is expected to be seen with the naked eye and usher-in the start of the biblical lunar tenth (10) month Tebeth (Esther 2:16).
Until then when we’ll lunar meet again, if it is Yah’s will.
Happy Monday 20th November 2017 new moon day from Roseau, Dominica to all!
