Blow the shofar! Happy Yom Teruah. Here in eastern Australia the new moon was a very light crescent, low on the horizon. It was seen here by three members of the Meyer family. It should be visible in most locations if weather permits. Additional new moon reports will be added as they are available.

The renewed moon was seen by two witnesses in Israel today.
That means that sunset tonight will mark the beginning of the 7th biblical month (the month of Tishri). It also marks the beginning of the Feast of Trumpets (a High Holy Day) — the final fulfillment of which our Messiah referred to when He stated, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man” (Matthew 24:29-36). There were many clouds and I thought I would probably not be able to see the moon, but when I looked, the moon was showing in a break in the clouds and I was able to take the picture at 7:26 EDT. It clouded over the moon less than five minutes later! (1 Observer) JMG III
