Shalom Brethren,

Blow the Shofar!  The new moon was seen in many locations including many in the US and one in Australia.  Moseh EliYahu sent pictures from Australia of the eighth new moon.  Have blessed eighth month.

Your reports can be submitted online through the following page, New Moon Report.

My new moon search began from sunset at 5:37pm and I caught sight of the new moon in only four minutes after sunset and kept looking at it for four minutes until 5:45pm. There was scattered clouds but was of no hindrance to my search as I easily sighted it.

Adelaide South Australia

The new moon of the 8th month was observed today(30-10-2008) in Adelaide South Australia from 8:10pm to 8:30pm. I was alone. It was visible with the naked eye for more than 30 minutes.

Here I have attached some pictures:

Shalom,

Mosheh EliYahu

Jerusalem, Israel

On Thursday October 30, 2008 observers across Israel looked for the moon but it was not sighted. There were cloudy conditions throughout the Land, although new moon visibility was uncertain even under ideal weather conditions. The new moon should be easily visible from Israel tomorrow night (Friday Oct 31, 2008) making Friday night the beginning of New Moon day.
