Sunday August 31, 2008 Shalom Brethren,
I pray that all is well with you. The sixth
new moon of the Scriptural year is soon to be visible. In southern Africa
and South America, the new moon should be visible August 31 at sunset if weather
permits. For most other locations, it looks like the first possibility of
visibility will September 1. The following images from MoonCalc and
Distant Suns show the probability calculated for visibility. MoonCalc
doesn't show the likelihood for September 1 because it would be two days after
the conjunction. In place of the visibility, I put the image of the sky
for September 1 which I hope is of some help. Submit your new moon reports online at New
Moon Report.
